scancapecod, The issue has been fixed and posted, along with numerous other items mentioned by users here.
I have created a change tracking page at ResponderApps - RadioLog Release History I will be updating this page for each release, and I will go thru my notes and update it for past changes as well.

Here is what I have planned for the next few releases:
1) Associating a scanner (or mototrbo radio) with a line input.
2) Drag-Drop functionality for ordering feeds (feeds and groups have a display index exposed now for ordering the display).
3) P25/DMR decoding from sound card.
4) API for integrating 3rd party applications (ProScan, etc).
5) Hytera radio integration.
6) Moving licenses between machines.

The changes page looks great. Thanks for doing that; it'll be quite helpful to all.

The find feeds feature is working, but it's not easy to use. Maybe you have these improvements lined up for a future release, but is there any way to add multiple feeds at the same time? The biggest issue of all that I see is not knowing what feed is what. I can minimize the window and go back to Broadcastify to match up feed #'s, but that's cumbersome. If there is a way to add the feed name, even a truncated version of it, that would be ideal.

Coming along great though. Thanks!

PhillyPhoto, I have asked for an API key from Broadcastify but they are not issuing any new ones. It would be a lot easier to do it that way, for myself and users.

scancapecod, I am looking into scraping the feed name too, and I'll post an update once it is working. The simplest thing for now would be to navigate to the specific page for the feed you are interested in and use that as the URL (i.e. go to the "Brockton Fire" from the URL you had posted earlier and use that page).

I don't know if anyone noticed this yet, but I found an issue when changing the theme color if you have not selected a custom color for a group (Vista and higher only). It will be fixed in the next release. If you don't know what I'm talking about then open up either a group or feed editor, they support custom coloring now.

Joe,

I just installed the latest version 1.1.0.19.

After the install and when it went to re-execute the program, the computer locked up. It still showed the on the screen of what I had previously set up, ie: colors, signals, feeds, etc. But was unable to go any farther with the program because of the freeze.

I was unable to unfreeze the screen and computer by having to pull the plug and try to restart that way.

It took 6 minutes for the computer to load, most likely doing a dump during that time because of the lock up.

I then re-started up the RadioLog Software. It then took about 2-3 minutes to load. After it loaded, the feeds were still there, but all the settings for the signals, colors, etc, were gone and it went back to the default colors.

I am not sure what was done during this last upgrade, but there seems to be a major problem or bug that puts things back to the previous version, but still shows the new version listed on the top of the title bar with no apparent changes made in the upgrade.

I will try to rest all the colors, settings, signals and see what happens.

Thanks....

t0pk01ne,
Can you do the following. 1) Under settings, make sure "Auto-Upload Error Logs" is checked. 2) Restart the application. That will send me any critical errors so I can find the issue. If the checkbox was not checked, you'll need to restart 2x (1x to generate the error, 1x to send)

Thanks,
Joe

Joe,

The box was already checked " Auto- Upload Errors ". I am guessing it was set in default.

I will reboot and hopefully any info you get will help.

I also just finished re-doing all the colors and signals and saved the settings, so hopefully it will hold when I end up re-starting the program.

Thanks again...

I finished restarting, all the setting, colors, signals are like I saved them. The only difference this time is i did not try to check for updates, since what I have is supposedly the newest one as per the title bar.

You should be getting, if not already, any logs from the auto error send at the re-start.

t0pk01ne,
Thank you, it looks like there was a race condition during the update. I will add code in the next release to shutdown all the active feeds before it starts the update so that it does not happen. On a side note, import/export functionality is now in. You can export your feeds and that will allow you to import to another computer or if there is a problem, restore your settings. The color/display order is included in that export as well.

I have purchased the software and tried the new feature allowing me to change the line on my scanner (BCD996XT) it gets information from. The problem is, the scanner flashes between the Group and Channel name while a channel is active, so the log just keeps adding a line every second when it switches, then switches between the systems it is scanning when nothing is active. Can you get the metadata the same way that the feeds get it. I'm not a programmer so I'm not sure how that works. Below is a link to a (very grainy for some reason) video of my scanner screen.

kr0490,
Thank you for the suggestion and the video. I have made the changes to filter out what you are seeing. If anyone is interested, I was using the "GLG" command and not looking at the [SQL] field to see if the scanner had actually detected audio. This fix will be in the next update, which should be within the next 2-3 hours.

Whats GE-Star decode? i know what mdc 1200 is.

also when you put your group color white you have to guess on where your gear setting is for that group since it blends into the back ground

Hello nick223,
GE-Star is a signaling format, like MDC-1200. It was GE's answer to MDC-1200. It isn't used much anymore, but I have 1 local fire department still using it on some channels.
The gear and text colors on the groups come from a different visual system that would be a huge overhaul to change. For now, I will be removing Black and White as a selection for group and feed colors.

Please forgive me if this is a stupid question, but I am confused as to the use of unit, role, and personnel fields in the log, what are these for, and how is this information received? Is it possible to determine who is talking on a radio, like individual cars that I am not aware of, or am i just being dense?

Hello kr0490,
The Unit, Role, Personnel and Agency fields are used when running in Fireground mode. RadioLog was originally designed for use on a fireground to detect mayday signals from firemen. Fire departments can pre-setup RadioLog to tie an MDC-1200 unit id to a particular person or role on an apparatus (each radio needs to have a unique MDC-1200 id). It allows them to easily see who initiated the alarm. The original version connected to a MotoTRBO radio and also allowed them to clear the alarm or initiate an evacuation alarm as well (MotoTRBO functionality was restored in version 1.1.0.10). I have written up a full history for several people that have asked, and it will be posted to the web site in the next few days for anyone that is interested.

I believe they only stopped mobile applications from getting new API keys. Your program should be fine, unless you have already received a specific denial.

We are currently not issuing addtional licenses to mobile device developers at this time. If you are interested in developing an application or service that uses Broadcastify's live audio feeds, we strongly encourage you to contact us directly at support@broadcastify.com with details on your plans to use the feed catalog API to integrate with your application.

Application API key
Application key is required for access to the API. API keys are currently provided by RadioReference.com Please see the following URL to apply for an application key:
