ProScan Version 1.7 Build 2 includes the RadioReference Imports feature, improved Scanner Over IP, and bug fixes.

Supported scanners are the BCD996T, BC796D, BC785D, BC780XLT, BC296D, and the BC250D.

I'm thriving to make this the best Computer Aided Scanning program and suggestions are very much appreciated.

Thank you to all that wrote nice compliments.

BTW the DMR logging was implemented in the last release. It may need some more work, time will tell.

Thanks for the updates and the great product is there anyway to add a time slot to the database so when logging data we would know what time slot was used? I know you put alot of work in but I think this would help us when looking for new conventional DMR

Bug report 10.5

Tried the new option "Resume Scan / Search after predetermined amount of time".

OS W XP Pro
Proscan 10.5
Scanner 780

I searched a pre defined range with my 780. The Option was set to 5 secs. When the scanners stops on a freq with interference, Proscan waits for the 5 seconds to pass. After that time the scanners starts searching again but stops the first freq following the one with interference.

For instance: if the interference is on 279.000 the searching stops. When 5 seconds are passed the scanner starts searching again but now stops at 279.025 and won't search anymore. One has to press the Search button again to start again. Hope I made myself clear.

Bob I'm very much willing to install a testfile if you have figured out a solution.

Sorry if this is the wrong place, I am fairly new to ProScan......
updated to ver 10.5 today....all of a sudden, when connected to my 536, ever channel that has traffic, when keyed up, I hear a beep, and then it skips the channels.....this is every channel in the scanner....if I turn ProScan off, the scanner works as is should, so the problem has to be in ProScan...
any help would be nice as I use ProScan all the time......John

Did you inadvertently turn on the Resume Scan / Search? Set it to Off. Setting located right side of the virtual scanner.

Does the scanner display show it? Can you send me a screenshot so I can see exactly the problem.

Here its seen in the System/Site Department area and when a hit is active, it also lists "Quick Search" in the very top left corner right after Proscan Bcd436hp and above Comm Port.

The scanner GLG sends "Quick Search" as the system/site name to ProScan. I don't know of a work around.

Hi Bob,
I have two very insignificant observations that I noticed with the last release of Proscan.
#1- When logging a conventional DMR channel, it logs the channel about 6 or 7 times within 2-3 seconds.. You end up with those 6-7 loggings on a single transmission and it counts each logging as another hit. I end up with 1400 hits in one day for each channel due to this.
#2- Each hit from a new entity starts out with the number 0.

This latest version works very well otherwise.. Just passing along some observations.
Take Care,
Mike

The Hits counter hasn't been worked on in a long time so should function as before. The first hit does start at 0. Should that be changed? A long time ago, someone thought it should start at 0 so it was changed to start at 0. Does the BCDx36HP hit counter starts at 0 or 1 so I can consider that when considering to change the ProScan hit counter?

As far as DMR logging, it's being worked on.

ProScan Version 10.6

ProScan Version 10.6
This is a small update for testing the DMR Logging. When reporting DMR Logging bugs, advise on the System Type and Digital Type shown in the History Grid.

  • Testing - DMR History Logging - Slot appended to Frequency and Color Codes appears in the Tone column. BCDx36HP scanners paid upgrade required for DMR reception.
  • Changed - History and UID Logging Hit Counters now starts at 1. Before started at 0.
  • Fixed - Starting ProScan would show an error exemption and shut down in a few cases.
  • Fixed - BC780XLT and BC250D - Resume Scan / Search function.

ProScan supports the BCT15, BCT15X, BC250D, BC296D, BR330T, BC346XT, BC346XTC, BCD325P2, BCD396T, BCD396XT, BCD436HP (without database), BCD536HP (without database), BC780XLT, BC785D, BC796D, BCD996T, BCD996XT, & BCD996P2 scanners.

ProScan is the most powerful and feature rich scanner software in this world.

Hi Bob...........10.6 loaded with no problem! I have in the FREQUENCY logging, some on the entries are followed by a "/1". In other words the frequency on about half are like this example 155.445/1. Never seen that before and version 10.5 is not that way! Thanks
