ProScan Version 1.7 Build 2 includes the RadioReference Imports feature, improved Scanner Over IP, and bug fixes.

Supported scanners are the BCD996T, BC796D, BC785D, BC780XLT, BC296D, and the BC250D.

I'm thriving to make this the best Computer Aided Scanning program and suggestions are very much appreciated.

Hi Bob...........10.6 loaded with no problem! I have in the FREQUENCY logging, some on the entries are followed by a "/1". In other words the frequency on about half are like this example 155.445/1. Never seen that before and version 10.5 is not that way! Thanks

That's the slot from a DMR system.

Testing - DMR History Logging - Slot appended to Frequency and Color Codes appears in the Tone column.

Hi Bob,

FYI... ProScan v10.6 loaded with no problems on a Dell XPS8700 with an i7-4770 8MB cache CPU at 3.9 GHz clock. 32 GB of RAM with three monitors. The OS is Windows 10 Home. Seems to be working after a quick glance. Will dig deeper tomorrow.

Tried it in my win 7 pro 64 bit desktop again been setting 30 mins with icon for setup screen still no luck.

Mine installed and ran fine on Win7/64.

Proscan: Suggestion, In the History logging could a '/ENC' or '/E' be placed next to the type in the 'Digital Type' column if it is encrypted?

If the talk group or frequency/slot are different then you will get a new row.

Email me at bob@proscan.org so I can give you the link to a test file that will generate a text log file. That way I can see what's going on.

Charles, did you try running it as Administrator? I am getting some real useful data on my logs. Hopefully Bob can add a /ENC or /E next to Digital Type if encrypted. I see it in the scanner window. One freq down here dhows DMR and others show as CAP. Interesting. Can't hear them because of encryption but thought that was interesting.

Starting a number of releases ago, when a new version was run for the first time, I would start it and it would run with no activity visible. I then closed it and restart it and it works fine. Only the first time after a new version. I have gotten used to doing it.

What do you mean by "no activity visible"?
If you can next time, try a couple of things.
Install ProScan in a new folder and see if it will run? This will help to determine if a anti-virus program is preventing ProScan from running.
In the existing folder, copy 1) Rename ProScan.cfg file to a temporary name so you can revert back to same config later. 2) Install ProScan in the same folder.. This will determine if something in the config file is preventing ProScan from running.

Bob thank you very much for helping me with the 10-6 it turned out to be my antivirus (AVAST) blocking the install. Bypassed the AV installed and is working great again THANK YOU for your hard work on a great program.

You probably have 4 or 5 scanners in your shack, cars, yacht and don't mind paying for the hardware and you think software should be zero cost regardless of the features or labor cost. My total time spent on ProScan, RadioFeed, Free Client is about 15,600 hours. I wish I could make it free or low cost but then I would be doing something other.

Nearly 100% of the users with a pricing comment say I should charge more so I will say it's already discounted. Only one other(J.S.) thinks I should charge $25.

To answer your question, Promo Codes are for customers purchasing 10 licenses or more and groups offering a discount to their members.
