ProScan Version 1.7 Build 2 includes the RadioReference Imports feature, improved Scanner Over IP, and bug fixes.

Supported scanners are the BCD996T, BC796D, BC785D, BC780XLT, BC296D, and the BC250D.

I'm thriving to make this the best Computer Aided Scanning program and suggestions are very much appreciated.

396T rebanding

I'm using Proscan 10.6 with a 396T. I'm trying to get Connecticut State Police programmed properly. I did an import from Radio Reference. Cant hear anything even though I can hear the control channel if i stop and listen to it.. Do I have to do something with the band plan? if so what is it?
Thanks
Ken

First I would put the scanner in ID Search mode to see if you can pick anything up. If yes then perhaps you don't have any talk groups programmed in. When you imported from RR, make sure the groups containing talk groups are checked.

I see from RRDB Connecticut State Police note shows "One or more sites for this trunking system have gone through the 800 MHz rebanding process."
Since the 396T is a single site (per system) scanner, Only one site can be programmed per system. I don't know if the site you have programmed is a rebanded site. For the scanner to work on rebanded systems, it needs firmware version 3.00.00 or above. Then you enter in ProScan system type "MOT 800 MHz Custom" and click the Bandplan button to enter in the Bandplan.

Perhaps the folks hanging out here have more info.

You need the Firmware mentioned in Bob's post

Under Database, open the CT SP system.
Then open the SITE
Then on the right half of the window click on SITE TYPE
Choose CUSTOM
Click on the bottom square that says BAND PLAN
Type in the first two rows:
851.0250 854.0000 25k 440
851.0125 862.0000 25k 0

That is the proper band plan for rebanded systems. If you have multiple Sites, repeat it for each site.

So, basically, even though the installer at the end prompts you to run Windows Update to check for new releases, there won't be any. All the vulnerabilities discovered in .NET 2 will remain unpatched by Microsoft, and your system at risk until a newer, supported version, is used by Uniden instead.
Wow, I didn't know that. Thanks
Does this affect ProScan?

Why not Select Support > Manual in ProScan then save the PDF file to a flash drive that you can take to work and print?

Thanks for responding. When I posted this I was at work and had already left home thus not being able to do as you are saying.

When I got home I did exactly as you said and took it one step further....saved the pdf and emailed it to myself and then was able to print it out at work.
Thank you for taking the time to respond.
I ALSO WANT TO THANKS Mr. Bob from ProScan support...I emailed him and he responded pretty quick.

Thanks everyone for helping. I appreciate it.

Now I am going to post another question :)

PROSCAN ROCKS btw....one of the best applications I have ever purchased with regard to scanning and or ham radio.

After purchasing ProScan 5 years ago I was able to get a question answered by ProScan support about my original purchase....that was impressive.

best way to listen to my proscan stream on android

Just wanting to get feedback from others as to the best way to listen to your own ProScan scanner feed via your android phone.
I am NOT talking about a feed that is being streamed to RadioReference..but one that one can setup as webserver type feed.

I have mine streaming and I can enter the ip address of my public ip with the appended port number and listen just fine. Just not easy to do sometimes or with old type phones.
I have a Galaxy Note 5 w/6.01 Android and installed Firefox and all I do is enter the web address to listen to it.

Just wondering if there is a better way .........I'm all ears !!

Thanks.

There is 2 ways to listen on your android phone.
#1. Teamviewer at home on proscan computer and teamviewer on phone. Controlable over phone or other computer. This is the way I have mine set up.
#2. Webserver built in the proscan software. It works good also.

I have no idea what Teamviewer at home is....will google. I dont think it is "practical"

Guess you did not read my initial post stating that I am running it as webserver on proscan and I am TRYING TO CONNECT TO THAT via my android.

Thanks for replying sir.

And 3 add your feed as a custom scanner in Gordon Edwards free scanner radio app as I stated above.

Hi. I already have Scanner Radio Pro installed....paid for it years ago.

I am having an issue with it. I am not having luck yet getting it to work inside my nat or outside my nat....

Inside my nat .....192.168.1.152:5002 works with firefox on my android...it does not work when added as a custom scanner feed........I noticed that Scanner Radio Pro is appending "stream.mp3"....that is not valid.....

How is your configured in Scanner Radio Pro?

For the folks on a fixed income, I understand your concern...With that said, this will be the last program you will need...I have a couple of set's of licenses and love this program...There was a learning curve on my side, which was good cause. It kept me busy!......Save your pennies and you will be happy.......Bob has released a lot of new versions since I first purchased my license...Unlike others he has made all the updates free to the license holders....

Best program I have had.......

Hope to one day have an iPad or iPhone app.......I'm sure others would also, but I understand that will be a "BIG" task to complete....
