ProScan Version 1.7 Build 2 includes the RadioReference Imports feature, improved Scanner Over IP, and bug fixes.

Supported scanners are the BCD996T, BC796D, BC785D, BC780XLT, BC296D, and the BC250D.

I'm thriving to make this the best Computer Aided Scanning program and suggestions are very much appreciated.

Teamviewer is a free remote PC, APPLE, ANDROID server client. it also lets you control the server PC that also passes the scanner audio
It also requires no ports open in the router. Install and use no problems.

Thank you....I was not looking for something that powerful I guess...just a simple client I can use on my Android phone to connect to the stream that is being provided by ProScan Pro installed a pc at my home.
I can connect to my stream within my lan while at home and I can connect to it when away from my home......both ways using FireFox installed on my Android Phone.

I have TRIED and tried to add my feed as a custom feed on Scanner Radio Pro but it will not connect....I will see the app starting to buffer during initial attempt to connect to my stream and then it fails and saids it cannot connect.

At this time the only way I can connect to my stream inside or outside of my lan via my android phone is via Firefox.......and again the stream is being provided by ProScan and its "webserver" that I have configured and have started.

Thanks for any help..... I'll check teamview but I think it is not the answer to my problem in any practical manner but I DO APPRECIATE you making me aware of it.

Thanks again........

I have no idea what Teamviewer at home is....will google. I dont think it is "practical"

Guess you did not read my initial post stating that I am running it as webserver on proscan and I am TRYING TO CONNECT TO THAT via my android.

Thanks for replying sir.

You did read it obviously...I am in error and appreciate your help. Reading this the next day and I did not like the tone of my initial reply...just wanted you to know that I appreciate your help.

Hi. I already have Scanner Radio Pro installed....paid for it years ago.

I am having an issue with it. I am not having luck yet getting it to work inside my nat or outside my nat....

Inside my nat .....192.168.1.152:5002 works with firefox on my android...it does not work when added as a custom scanner feed........I noticed that Scanner Radio Pro is appending "stream.mp3"....that is not valid.....

How is your configured in Scanner Radio Pro?
If it has/stream.mp3 behind the 5002 change it to 5002/stream and see if it works that way in the scanner radio app

Im doing something wrong I am sure.

Testing Scanner Radio Pro .......this is what I have entered for a custom scanner:

http://192.168.1.152:5002
http://192.168.1.152:5002/stream
http://192.168.1.152:5002/stream.mp3

all try to connect....tries to buffer and then it cant connect.

In my configuration for "Webserver" in ProScan I have the following:

Server Port:5002
Max Conn: 25
Web Page Title: <blank>
Stream Description: Police Lives Matter
Home Page: <Blank>
Comments:> <blank>
Stream Name: Police Lives Matter

I am not publishing this to an actual website ....it is just the application acting as a server for the streaming so I do not think there is anything wrong with the blank fields....

I am testing this functionality within my lan first...... I have ports 5002 forwarded to the desktop pc. I can connect with html viewer like Firefox on my android device with no problem within my lan and outside my lan. Of course I use the public IP for outside the lan ...not posting that here....

I figured it out....feel like a dummy......

In the webserver settings in ProScan..... the stream name is important....
I entered stream.mp3 for that setting.......

so now I added a custom scanner in Scanner Radio Pro as
"http://192.168.1.152:5002/stream.mp3" and it works.

You got me pointed in the right direction when you said you were pretty sure it was just stream.........now I am ready to test outside of my lan with the public ip address and then /stream.mp3.

Thanks again for your help.

Running Proscan Webserver Under Ubuntu

My apologies if I am posting in the wrong thread.

I've got Proscan 10.6 running on my PC under Ubuntu using WINE (I've also got it on Windows 7) and thus far everything runs well except for the webserver. The webserver initially works as it should but after several minutes I get a notification that Proscan experienced some sort of problem and must close. The server runs fine under W7, but I've gotten where I like Ubuntu more LOL.

Anybody have any ideas if it is doable to run the webserver under Ubuntu and if so have any ideas on a workaround solution? The online guidance I've found is very good at getting Proscan going but doesn't discuss anything further.

Thanks.

Perhaps it's the audio capture method causing that. For a test can you go to the Audio Control -> Monitor & Test tab and switch from "WaveIn Event" to "NAudio WaveIn Event" and see what happens.

ProScan Version 10.7

Here's the newest version

  • Added - Fire Tone Out logging on supported scanners.
  • Added - Frequency Display box on all scanner types. Before just the x36HP scanners had the frequency display.
  • Added - DMR Logging with slot number appended to frequency and color codes appearing in the tone column. Uniden paid upgrade required for DMR reception. Applies to the BCDx36HP scanners.
  • Added - Web Server Volume, Squelch, and Scroll buttons shown in scanner control mode.
  • Changed - Now using the Microsoft .Net Framework 4.0. Before was using .Net Framework 2.0. Should be transparent to the operator.
  • Fixed - Always On Top view option wasn't working with the Display Only (Detached Window) view type.
  • Fixed - If the Windows Title Bars and/or Menu font setting was higher then 9 points, Scanner Only, Display Only, and Display Only (Detached Window) view types was cutoff at the bottom.
Outstanding Issues
  • Virtual scanner will not render in the Web Browser correctly if ProScan is minimized. This is due to a Windows limitation. Work Around: Don't minimize ProScan while the Web Server is running.
  • One user reported the following:
I'm having trouble with the latest version. it takes several times to hold on a scanning channel...some clicks are registered as system hold and not scan hold....sometimes it works but most of the time it changes to system hold and I have to long click to turn it off then try again.
    {BCD996XT, 10.5, unable to duplicate}
  • One user reported the following:
    Recording silence in VOX mode
    {non supported scanner but doesn't matter in vox mode, 10.6, unable to duplicate}

ProScan supports the BCT15, BCT15X, BC250D, BC296D, BR330T, BC346XT, BC346XTC, BCD325P2, BCD396T, BCD396XT, BCD436HP (without database), BCD536HP (without database), BC780XLT, BC785D, BC796D, BCD996T, BCD996XT, & BCD996P2 scanners.

ProScan is the most powerful and feature rich scanner software in this world.

Running my 536 with ProScan via WIFI link, I have issues with ProScan becoming unresponsive if I shut off the scanner first. This was with two computers (both running Win10) and with both WIFI connection methods.
The only way out is to close the program and restart it. It starts up immediately and runs fine.

I'll look at this before the next release.

ProScan 10.7 is working like a champ capturing DMR system info on a Uniden BCD536HP scanner. "Under the hood," ProScan 10.7 seems to be working flawlessly with Microsoft .Net Framework 4.0. Thanks for all the hard work you do!
