ProScan Version 1.7 Build 2 includes the RadioReference Imports feature, improved Scanner Over IP, and bug fixes.

Supported scanners are the BCD996T, BC796D, BC785D, BC780XLT, BC296D, and the BC250D.

I'm thriving to make this the best Computer Aided Scanning program and suggestions are very much appreciated.

Any ProScan Bugs?

Next version will be dedicated to bug fixes. If anyone see's a bug in ver. 10.7, let me know.

Bug Reports - Advise on the following:
  • Scanner type:
  • OS type:
  • Options pertaining to the bug:
  • Describe in detail what the bug is doing or not doing:
So far I have fixed in the upcoming version 10.8
  • Fixed - Web Browser not showing the display in correct position and the Volume, Squelch, Scroll buttons not shown correctly. WORK AROUND until I get 10.8 out - Delete the style1.css file and refresh the browser. No need to restart ProScan.
  • Fixed - if .Net Framework 4.0 not installed on the XP operating system then an error message will show.
  • Fixed - Fire Tone-Out not showing channel name and tones ending in 0.0 not shown correctly.

I was contacted by AggieCon regarding importing and the formatting. ProScan doesn't support the BCDx36HP favorites editing.
I will say again "Some of us have other scanners with a discriminator tap for DSDPlus."

When did Proscan start thinking only about the BCDx36HP's scanners? Uniden has more scanners than just them. So please get off the " ProScan doesn't support the BCDx36HP favorites editing." BTW you did say you could add that, so when? ARC536 does a good job of it.

I'm not sure where you are coming from. ProScan supports many type of scanners, all Uniden. I was going to do the BCDx36HP favorites editing but just not enough time right now. I'm not sure I want to duplicate the efforts of Sentinel and ARC536. I'm a little puzzled why you are like this when you have a few suggestions in the queue. Helps with making decisions.

I'm saying that the import from that site would be good for all scanners Proscan supports, (like if they use DSDPlus or Unitrunker) I didn't understand and got mad at why you just went with the "Proscan doesn't support the BCDx36HP favorites editing." for that site. Are you saying that the import from that site CAN"T be used for the scanners with Proscan's database editing?

I think you are hurting your own product by not having the BCDx36HP database editing. And I think all the users of Proscan like to be able to use just Proscan to add and edit the BCDx36HP. But I for one have to use and paid for ARC536 so I can do just that. Sentinel is not good at editing like Proscan or BuTel. I have people ask what the best program for their scanner, and if they have a BCDx36HP I can't tell them Proscan, sorry but that's the way it is .

I have other suggestions also but don't want to seem to want to much. If it looks good for all to use then I speak up !

Sorry for my way with words, but I just say it like I see it. Yes I know i'm a PITA , my wife tells me that all the time.
I like your program over all others, so just keep that in mind, please keep up the great work and thanks for your support with your GREAT program.

Mike,
If you have a question, try to keep it simple so I can understand it and will answer. I don't have too much time now going back and forth because I'm working on a suggestion that came in yesterday via email regarding the Display Only views

Suggestion request should be simple and to the point so I can understand it. When suggestions are sent via email, the requester gets the latest ProScan file. When posted here,I may not reply if I don't have plans to do it.

Hi.

I may have missed it when I read through the documentation for your software, but does the paid version support the BCD536HP?

Thanks Sheldon.

Sheldon, The 30 day trial / demo is fully functional. No difference in the paid version except no nag screen. ProScan supports the BCD536HP except the Favorites editing. The History logging (including DMR logging), Fire Tone-out logging, UID logging, recording, Source Client, Web Server, etc are supported.

ProScan Version 10.8

Here is the latest mostly with fixes. The major fix is it's now back to .Net Framework 2.0. A few were having problems with 4.0 so went back to 2.0 which has been time tested for several years.

  • Added - Hold button on the Display Only & Display Only (Borderless) view types.
  • Changed - Reverted back to Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0. 4.0 wasn't working correctly on Win XP SP3 and Win 8.1.
  • Fixed - Web Browser not showing the display in correct position and the Volume, Squelch, Scroll buttons was not shown correctly.
  • Fixed - Fire Tone-Out logging not showing channel name and tones ending in 0.0 not shown correctly.
  • Fixed - BCD536HP using Wi-Fi and if the scanner is powered off then the ProScan GUI may not respond for several seconds.
ProScan supports the BCT15, BCT15X, BC250D, BC296D, BR330T, BC346XT, BC346XTC, BCD325P2, BCD396T, BCD396XT, BCD436HP (without database), BCD536HP (without database), BC780XLT, BC785D, BC796D, BCD996T, BCD996XT, & BCD996P2 scanners.

ProScan is the most powerful and feature rich scanner software in this world

Hello.

I thought Proscan is free to use for 30 days? When I try to start Proscan, I get the startup screen but none of the 3 options in the startup screen lets me use it free for 30 days. Is this a lie?

Sheldon.

Has anyone with a 996xt or P2 had an issue with scrolling?

It seems to be one direction only - UP.

I do not see this on my ProScan connected HP scanners (436/536).

I just installed it on a new laptop, works fine here. Maybe you should just give up..

To Bob and the users of this forum
I am sorry for what I said the other day I had a bad day and it showed, I totally acted like a little brat and had no right to say such things.
