ProScan Version 1.7 Build 2 includes the RadioReference Imports feature, improved Scanner Over IP, and bug fixes.

Supported scanners are the BCD996T, BC796D, BC785D, BC780XLT, BC296D, and the BC250D.

I'm thriving to make this the best Computer Aided Scanning program and suggestions are very much appreciated.

10.9 Problem

I have been using Pro Scan for years - and I have over 20 scanners connected remotely via Pro Scan - so I hope this question doesnt seem like a noobie asking ...but ever since 10.7 - I cannot control any of my 536's remotely. I click menu - and the screen just freezes on ProScan. I click it again - and back to scan. So I know the scanner is receiving the command and responding - but I cannot see any menu items.

I have also logged into the computers remotely via Teamviewer and tried to control the ProScan directly on the host computers.

One is running Windows XP and the other Windows 7

Let me know if anyone else has this problem ....or is it just my bad luck.

I still cannot use MENU features on my 536 since the 10.7 update. Should I just go backwards on the version to find the last working version ?

Will you fix the problem on future releases ?

Please at least answer the original question - as I have many copies of this in place - and I cant select lists or any menu items.

I would prefer to get this fixed with your help. Email me so I can ask additional questions and send out files to determine where the problem is and you will have the fix sooner (if any) than waiting for the next release.

Email the bug reports to support@proscan.org

• Product (ProScan, Free Client, or RadioFeed):
• Version:
• Scanner type:
• OS type:
• Options pertaining to the bug:

I'm using the BCD996P2 which has an option for "Control Channel Only" scanning. I see this option in FreeScan but cannot seem to find it in ProScan, does anyone know where it is?

The BCD996P2 doesn't have a Control Channel Only option. Uniden took that option out and made it to use Control Channel Only.

{edit} Just to clarify, Uniden took it out of the XT series and later scanners.

Bob,

By any chance are you a ham radio operator? Even if not, your software is super-fantastic!

No HAM for me. Back in the late 70's I was going to do that but never did. I had a chance a few weeks ago at work to attend a day long class and take the test but passed on it because I would end up spending all my time on the hobby.

 LOL  Fully understand Bob. You would also spend all your time on the hobby and not get anything done on ProScan not to mention spending all of your hard earned cash too,,, Maybe one day you can mix jobs, juggle times and enjoy the hobby on a minimal time basis...

Failure to "Connect" with RRDB

ProScan is up to date. Successfully hooked up my computer and the 396xt. The ProScan graphic radio (computer monitor) is mimicking the 396xt screen. When I Database>Import>Radio Reference and fill in my username and password (works fine in Radio Reference) and click Connect, I get the attached error message (See Attachment).

No problems in the past. Hope I'm just skipping a step or something.

I would reboot the computer to see if it clears. Also reboot the router and and check if any other program is interfering with the network.

EDIT: Disregard - wireless NIC in computer is flaking out. Reset, app working fine.

I'll send a bug report to the support email, but I'm curious if anybody else is having issues with not getting the program to keep receiving data from the 536 via wi-fi in ver 11.1. The display in ProScan appears "frozen", and when I go to the "Comm Port" menu and choose the "URL Setup" button, the "Bytes TX" increases periodically but "Bytes RX" stays static. Clicking "Reconnect" makes it work again for about 1 second, then it stops receiving data once more. Rebooted PC and scanner; and scanner is able to connect & feed to another source (the Android Siren app) just fine.
