ProScan Version 1.7 Build 2 includes the RadioReference Imports feature, improved Scanner Over IP, and bug fixes.

Supported scanners are the BCD996T, BC796D, BC785D, BC780XLT, BC296D, and the BC250D.

I'm thriving to make this the best Computer Aided Scanning program and suggestions are very much appreciated.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to record the transmissions received from a 996XT and a 536HP each running on an instance of ProScan to the same recordings folder without getting duplicate recordings?

My idea is to try to fill in gaps in P25 trunked reception, if one receiver misses a transmission but the other picks it up it would fill the gap. If both simultaneously picked up the transmission only one audio file would be written and saved.

Do this.
1. Insure each instance of ProScan is in a separate folder.
2a. On the first instance, Go to the Options - Recording tab.
2b. Click the "Recordings Location" button. Select a common folder.
2c. HERE IS THE KEY - In the "Custom Filename Format" box, Choose a unique custom formatter or a unique character for that instance. Example "1 - %DT - %S - %C"
2d. Close the Options window.

3. Do steps 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d again for the 2nd instance. On step 2c, choose something unique such as "2 - %DT - %S - %C"

[edit} I'm not clear on what you mean by "duplicates" Are you talking about duplicate filenames or same audio in two files? I don't think it's possible preventing duplicate audio in two files if using two scanners.

Same audio in one file using two scanners.

There's a spare drive in my PC nearly empty. Let me see what a sync app does perhaps syncing the recordings of the two receivers into one file.

I am seeing the same thing that others have mentioned with MS Security Essentials where it flags ProScan as having a Trojan . Obviously, if we are running the same virus definitions, the same programs will set off alarms. I can download the zip, but MSE strips the exe out of the file when it unzips.

Versions 11.1 and 11.2 flag on my computer. The latest copy I can run without the virus warning is 11.0

Been running proscan and radio feed. XP machine. Updated to the latest proscan and now I can not open a port. Driving me nuts. Router is set up for the port, it looks like it should work. At first, proscan would not get out. Then radio feed started not working too. Changed the ip address and changed the router, no luck. Computer right next to it works fine.

What message appears in the Status box? If you get a "Port In Use" message then another instance of ProScan may have the port open. Close the port on the other instance.

Update:
I figured out the network problems.
Now I can connect with radio feed.
However, the web server in Proscan will NOT connect to Android. It will connnect to firefox on PC.
Using Scanner Radio by Gordon Edwards. Can not quite figure this one out, because the Proscan 11.2 on the computer right next to it hooks right up.
Very strange.

Using port 5001 on radio feed.
On Proscan 11.2 port 5001 works on PC, but not on Android.
Before I upgraded Proscan, the web server did work, now it says can not open port 5001. BUT it does connect over PC!

Find out why you can not open the port. Try another port number for testing purposes.

I tried everything!
For some reason, the web server in the newest version does not seem to like Android.
BUT, on this machine it is fine, same XP OS.
It is a head scratcher.

I wish you would be clear and not bounce around so much and also stop switching everything around. I would start over by using one computer with one instance of ProScan (or RadioFeed) running and stick with that. Do Web Server or Source Client first and get that working before moving on to another feature.

The computer in question has been running radio feed for several years continuously. It also has had Proscan installed going back to version 4.3
All the problems started the other day when I upgraded to Proscan 11.2
At first, the web server would not connect.
Then Radio feed would not open the port.
I have a lot of computer expertise and took it step by step, uninstalling everything that could possibly block the ports and working with the router.
The finding is that I can not get the web server in 11.2 to work with Android Scanner Radio by Gordon Edwards, which is what I use in the car. At the same time, I am able to connect using a web browser in Windows. I notice that it now gives a graphic representation of the scanner in the web browser, don't know if that is an issue.
Anyway, back to 4.3 on that machine and it works so I am leaving it alone.

ProScan version 11.2 works fine. It seems that you were all over the map using shotgun practices and not logically troubleshooting the problem/s.

LOL not exactly. But when you start with a machine that has not been updated since probably 2009 or earlier, stuff happens. Like I said, I had been running radio feed on it 24/7 for years with no issues, when I installed PS 11.2 it all went south with no other changes made. No idea why, but I was able to get it up and running. And did a few updates, like to XP SP3. Like I said, old laptop being used as a server and nothing else for years.
