I'm having this issue with ProScan 11.7 on the BCDx36HP scanners. In the video attached, you'll see what issue I'm having. Will uninstalling and reinstalling correct this issue? Also, I've been using ProScan to control both variants of the x36 scanners at the same time with no issues.

Thanks for your help.

First I always advise never need to uninstall and reinstall ProScan. It's not necessary.

I don't see anything obvious that sticks out. What is it doing or not doing?

The ProScan BCDx36HP Favorites Editor is under development. Anyone using my software knows that I put my heart into it and put as many features imaginable. The new ProScan Favorites Editor will be similar. Stay Tune!

I can't take any suggestions until this is done unless it's related to the new Favorites Editor.

Wow, just saw this now. I am very excited this is happening. Thank you for all you do. With out people like you, who dedicate time and effort, the hobby would not be what it is today.

Thanks again. If you need any beta testers just let us know.

It's still in Alpha stage. I think you're going to like it.

When ProScan is running, traffic is interrupted. You can hear what sounds like a key press(beep). It only happens when there is voice traffic. It'll interrupt the traffic.

Did you see beachside reply. He's got it. Turn off the Resume Scan/Search.

With your x536/436 favorite editors, can you include the HP1/2? File structure is pretty much the same.

Check back later with me on this. Right now I'm focused on the BCDX36 Favorites and I have a lot of ideals I may do before I can consider that. Please don't overwhelm the programmer who is working many OT hours on this.

Issue Resolved with a windows upgrade

I'm not very clear on this. Can you clarify.

Can or can not? These two statements sounds contradictory. You didn't mention the volume knob if that moves.

Adjust what setting? Windows Mixer?

Did you see the post from ak4fn, please answer the questions so we can help.

What was happening is the volume of the scanner would automatically ramp all the way up for reasons unknown while connected to the software. I was using a windows 8 machine that had been unused for some time. After running windows update and finding out that Windows 8 was no longer a supported OS (I am a Mac user 99.99% of the time and this machine was just collecting dust) I was forced to upgrade to Windows 10. After all was said and done, Windows 10 installed, PC was fresh without who knows what from windows 8 throwing wrenches at the keypad, all is well now.

I appreciate the time taken to respond to my question. My issue has been resolved. My guess is Windows 8 had something to do with it. This is only speculation. Problem no longer. That's what counts, right? Now I'm on to antenna issues with a rubber duck antenna and a metal framed home. Time to run some cable and get an antenna mounted outside. Never ending story at the new shack! Whiskey 8 Alpha Tango Sierra, Clear.

Bob, I was wondering if one of the favorite list editor options would be or could be a duplicate frequency finder for both the list your actually editing and a global one for all lists.

Again, a huge thanks for this editor..

Yes, It will be in the Utilities menu and will let you choose all favorites, a favorite chosen, or system chosen. First release should be early March. I will try to get everything in the first release.

Here is a first look or maybe a second look.

{edit} reading your suggestion is little more closely, initially the Find Dups will be for the file open. Doing this now will delay the release. Check with me later after the release.

Hi Bob, another low-priority observation: Logged hits with the 536HP are showing 00:00:00 "Duration", no matter how many hits on an individual TG or how long the transmissions take.

Could that be a setting? I have a 436 and its working good.

It could be that the scanner is not fully decoding the signal I have seen in my x36's on PROSCAN that if the decoder drops decoding and picks right back up it starts a new hit and recording. Is this by chance a not properly decoded digital hit.

Yes, it now appears that there is something wrong at my end.

A setting it was. Over at the upper right area "Resume Scan/Search" was set to "Instant". Selecting "Off" allows me to hear the entire transmission unbroken and the "Duration" totals are amassing as expected.

Sorry for the interruption. This was 100% user error.
