I noticed when using my bc396xt with a amplified speaker you will hear a popping sound, which I believe is the audio amplifier of the scanner engaging and disengaging and the amplified speaker amplifying the pop. I use a ground loop isolator and it helped get rid of, most of the popping sound. I wonder if the click you are hearing is the popping I'm talking about.

I have a Br330T and it makes a popping noise. It can be heard with the volume set to zero. Was that the same thing you had and if so, do you have any pics or instructions that could be applied to my 330? The popping drives me crazy. Sent it to uniden with a very detailed letter describing the problem. They said they could not replicate the problem. Seriously. My 5 year old was able to replicate it....

Thanks. Look exciting. I am sure you can find some beta testers!

I would love a chance at that..

@ Bob, I don't want to throw out any ideas that would delay the first release, but are there going to be any print options? Just curious.

Thanks

dave3825, On the popping, does it happen when scanner audio connected to the computer speaker. If so then try an audio isolation transformer to see if the problem clears.

ProScan can print the database. Go to the Database menu and Export / Print. Click the HTML button and a html file will be generated that can be printed or click the Print button.

Wow, a reply during the Super Bowl, now that's true dedication to the scanner hobby, or you hate football.

On the popping, this is when using the scanner by itself. Its sitting next to me now and it's running off batteries and I can hear it popping. Does it whenever there is any active coms. Was hoping ak4fn might have something on his ground loop fix.

Printing? Really ? Thats perfect. I have a ton of stuff in my 436 and from the way it looks in your pic, it will work good for me. I list the dept qk in every fav list so looking at your pic,I would have fav list 1, A 1 conv. B 2 p25 etc. Makes turning stuff off a breeze cause the numbers appear on the screen.

Thanks again for your hard work and dedication.

ProScan Now with the BCDx36HP Favorites Editor in Beta

What's New In Version 11.8

  • Added - BCD436HP and BCD536HP Favorites Editor Beta Test.
  • Fixed - NAC Code wasn't showing in the channel grid when scanner type set to BCD396XT and BCD996XT.
  • Fixed - C-CH Output wasn't working on P25 systems.
  • Many more small improvements.

Next several releases will be dedicated to the ProScan Database and Favorites Editor. Bug Fixes, Improvements, and Suggestions.

I haven't update the help file for the BCDx36HP Favorites Editor yet. I want to note that it may not seem obvious what to do first. You can do one of two things. 1. Read an existing Sentinel Favorites List Folder by clicking the File -> Open menu or 2. Read the scanner Favorites List by clicking the Scanner Read menu.

ProScan supports the BCT15, BCT15X, BC250D, BC296D, BR330T, BC346XT, BC346XTC, BCD325P2, BCD396T, BCD396XT, BCD436HP, BCD536HP, BC780XLT, BC785D, BC796D, BCD996T, BCD996XT, & BCD996P2 scanners.

ProScan is the most powerful and feature rich scanner software in this world !!!.

Hi Bob. Fantastic news! I have 11.7 and it says I have the latest. Are you allowing all users to update to the Beta? Thanks!

Yes, anyone can beta test 11.8. No issues with 11.8 that I'm aware of as yet and I believe 11.8 to be production quality. However with any major upgrades, there may be bugs so I will keep 11.7 as the official release for now until I see that no major bugs crop up in the real world. So the "Check For Newest Version" will not show 11.8 as the latest.

Yes,
1. Put the scanner in Mass Storage mode
2. Click the Scanner Read menu
3. If more than one scanner, select the right scanner
4. Click OK
5. Choose a folder on the computer or click the New Folder button to save the Scanner Favorites List
