This request along with all others will be considered after the BCD996XT and BCT15X support is in.

Feature Request:

This just came to me while I was in the shower. RR.com has some restrictions on what you can stream so i ask if the followiing is possible to add sometype of mute flag to TG's and freqs.

This is my line of thinking, you want to hear yourself what is going on but due to the nature of what is happening you don't think it's a good idea to stream that TG so you flag it with a mute which could be like a record flag.

You would still hear the audio and the audio would still record but the outputs to ScanCast will be muted so they don't hear the audio.

Could this work?

Thanks Bob, I take it the radio id will not work until the firmware is released?

That’s correct as ProScan uses the protocol to turn on and off the Display Unit ID and the protocol will be in the next firmware released as announced by UPMan.

It comes to a point when you give up adding new scanners and work on the design aspects and making those better. i got crazy ideas I would like to see but they are just crazy.

Personally I'd like to see a fire tone out built in that can assign a .wav per tone. I am always looking for ways to improve my online feed.

How about another request to throw on the pile? How about selective control access?

It would be nice to be able to publicly allow the use of the scan or hold or LO or whatever selectively but still be able to lock down the rest. I sometimes find that the scanner has stopped on some channel that has developed a quiet low level signal for no apparent reason while I'm away from it. I'm sure that others that might have been listening would have been frustrated and disconnected. At least that way they could lock it out and move on.

I think he's done a damn good job so far. A lot better then some others.

I just updated the firmware on my 396XT and updated ProScan to 3.1 on the server PC. One slight issues I noticed is with the Berkeley Co. WV and Jefferson Co. WV P25 systems, the display seems to "hang" when scanning those systems. When it stops on a active TG, the display shows TG and UID. When scanning Loudoun Co. VA, no issues. The display on the scanner is fine. This happens no matter showing UID is on or off on the scanner. Does not happen on conventional systems. This happens on the PC connected to the scanner as well as remotely with client version 2.1.

Would there be any way to record the UIDs with the log?

Bob, if you want to access the scanner, email me and I will give you the details.

Do you have other trunking systems in your scanner? Does the display freezes on them?

Can you post the file size of the following files (located in the ProScan folder):
History Data.txt
History TG Hits.txt
CC TG Data.txt
CC TG Hits.txt

Also try turning off the "History & Frequency / TG ID's Log To Grids option.

Loudoun is the only other I have programmed in it.

Loudoun Co. VA - Motorola Type II SmartZone/Analog and APCO-25 Common Air Interface
Berkeley and Jefferson Co. WV - Project 25 Standard/APCO-25 Common Air Interface

History Data.txt - 9kb
History TG Hits.txt - 7kb
CC TG Data.txt - 0kb
CC TG Hits.txt - 2kb

History & Frequency / TG ID's Log To Grids turned off.

Issue still exists.

ProScan version 3.1.0 does not do this on the 996T. This morning I tried rolling it back to 3.0.0 and it still does the same thing. I don't think it's version specific but rather something with the new firmware. I can see if I can put the older firmware on the scanner but I'd rather not.

File sizes ok so eliminates that.

What happens if you turn off the Display Unit ID setting?

Same thing. The scanner is scanning/searching the systems but just doesn't show it on ProScan. Once it locks on something, the display shows the TG and UID (if set).

I know others may have an issue but my 396XT usually scans FBI conventional and doesn't have the issue.

Forgot to add this yesterday. When you look at the Test tab to see the data stream, it hangs as well.

There may be something going on. I would download a fresh copy of ProScan and install it to a new folder.

If it still happens, then u/l firmware version before 1.04 to see what happens.
