ProScan Version 1.7 Build 2 includes the RadioReference Imports feature, improved Scanner Over IP, and bug fixes.

Supported scanners are the BCD996T, BC796D, BC785D, BC780XLT, BC296D, and the BC250D.

I'm thriving to make this the best Computer Aided Scanning program and suggestions are very much appreciated.

Morning Bob,

Thank you for the update.

After I updated to the newest version.
My audio via network to proscan, is extremely poor now.
It was fine, before the upgrade.

However, after the upgrade. The audio is extremely poor on the network.
I didn't change anything at all, just did the upgrade.
I reset my modem and scanner and Proscan.
Thinking that would make a difference, being a network issue.

However, the problem still exists.
Any idea on how to fix this?

Or is it a bug in the new version?

No changes in this area in a long time. Revert back and see what happens.

{edit} What do you mean by "poor" Low volume or something? The audio is PCM digital all the way so that leaves out distortion. Could have bit errors if using the BCD536HP W-Fi or could it be a reception problem?.

How do I revert to the last version?
It only happened, right after the newest upgrade.
So, that is why I was wondering if it was a bug or something.

I did not change any settings. Before or after the upgrade.
I was listening to the 200 over the local network to proscan.
It was crystal clear audio before the upgrade

Then did the upgrade.
I grabbed an audio file from proscan, and uploaded it to youtube.
So, you can hear what it sounds like now.

I used the NOAA weather as the audio.

Audio thru the 200 unit itself was perfect.

Audio from the 200 thru network into ProScan, sounds like below.
Rebooted the pc, rebooted the modem, and still sounds like this thru the network into Proscan

Any ideas on how I can fix this?

Bob, thank you

Here's the link to 23.3. You could try it. Make sure it's installed in the same folder as 23.4 so the same options are used.

If it's still the same then go to the Audio Control - Recorder tab and see if the sample rate of 8000 is selected. If it already is then change it to another value then back to 8000.

I think that 8000 did the trick!
You are awesome :)

I have a quick question.
Is Wav or MP3 bigger files?

I have always used MP3.
But someone was saying to use Wav.
It is smaller files.

Is that true?
If so, does it affect the quality of the audio at all, being smaller files?

Note: The link for the previous version, did not work.

Off hand, I would think that the mp3 files are smaller in size as they are compressed.
Compression is a lower audio quality.

I was getting False Positives from ProScans website...
I don't use Windows Defender (Built into Windows)... I use ESET... ESET Digital Security | Enterprise, Business and Home Solutions

I submitted ProScans website to ESET for review several times...
And they finally cleared it...
There is nothing wrong with ProScans website...

It could be on either end. The TCP protocol doesn't indicate where the problem is. Some people use a program called PingPlotter to isolate the problem. It could be at the near end including the ISP or the far end.

Turn the Auto Reconnect on and once the problem clears, the Source Client will reconnect.

I have no ideal what that popup would be. Perhaps a windows log may shed light.
Can i use the client version to remote control my scanner and log the traffic?
