I can remove 1 duplicate using the "find next same" and the program will crash, you loose all your work and need to start over.

I would like to fix this problem. I can't duplicate. So to fix it, I need an email with someone who is experiencing this problem. Email me with the database file. I asked before for an email in post 2818 and 2828 and no one responded

Bob,

I emailed you last September about this issue. You told me then you couldn't duplicate it. This evening I sent you a video file showing my desktop and showing it happening. It is very repeatable.

All devices are shown. From what i had read on HP forums it looks like you have to have a 4 pin 1/8" cable to be able to use that jack. Its a combo headphones/mic input jack. It probably isnt seeing my cable plugged in because it is only a 3 pin cable. I guess im the only one trying to do this on a newer style laptop with only a single input.

I have no problem recording audio from my BCD996P2 with my laptop and ProScan. Actually, I have used this to identify numerous talk group IDs recently.

Do you have a mic input and headphone jack or just one combo jack?

Ok what model is your computer? I just picked up this hp last week. Was doing some reading on hp forums about using that jack. Said you needed a 4 pin style jack in order to get the computer to see whats plugged in. Cable has 2 jacks off it. One is for mic input and one for headphone input. Ive been playing around with it last nite and cant always get that mic jack to see whats plugged in it. Im not sure if the jack is possibly bad??

Mine just has the regular 1/8" audio jack, like a headphone jack. I use a standard Mono jumper cord between the scanner and laptop. You may try using a different cord.

Yeah, I just searched and read that forum. Just use a regular Mono audio cable and it will work just fine.

How to record BC536HP audio through USB port

Hi,

I just made a few equipment moves in the shack and would now like to record audio from my BCD536HP over the radio / PC USB connections. I'm running the latest edition ProScan and currently using the mobo's built in sound card.

Any help appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read this! 73
