I'm still learning ProScan and NXDN so bear with me please.

I downloaded a conventional system listed as having some NXDN frequencies (Franklin County KY). RR database says the FD dispatch frequency is NXDN RAN 21. When I imported, I got DCS 21.

Will there be an issue that way - DCS versus RAN?

Bob, similar problem also. I had some rr data saved in Excel and when I used the get clipboard, it substituted the ran with DCS.

If you want to try, copy this into an xlsx file.

Code:
451.95000 46 RAN Tappan Zee Constructors
452.07500 46 RAN Tappan Zee Constructors

Next version of ProScan, release probably next week or the week after will contain the following:

  • Added - Web Server Metadata Delay option now delays the Display too so the audio and data appear in sync.

  • Thanks for this update - it makes it so much easier to follow conversations and match them up with UIDs being displayed.

One small thing I noticed was that the alert light on the display doesn't seem to be delayed - is that on purpose or is it possible to have that delayed with the display data?

Are UID in the record strem? I know the latency was an issue - but IF this will fix it I can go back to using Proscan for UID discovery as well.

That's on purpose. Lights are part of the panel. If the panel was delayed then when the user presses a key, it will not show in the pressed state(shadow effect) immediately and the user won't have positive feedback that the key was actually pressed.

{edit} I should of said keypad is part of the panel along with the lights so I have to delay both or none. I chose none so the user will have positive feedback when a key was pressed.

I don't recommend UID's in the recorder filename as many UID's will be on a single talk group and the UID's can arrive late or not at all.

Ran into a problem programming with Proscan.
USB Mass Storage mode
I can read the programming from the 536, No issues.
Modify the programming in Proscan, No issues
When I go to write to the 536, it shows the scanner. The 536 is highlighted and I click OK. It then gives me the spinning (busy mouse pointer) for a couple seconds and then closes the write to scanner window.

When I go to see if the programming took, the updated programing is not there.
When I do it with Sentinel, it works no problem.

Ideas?

Have upgraded ProScan to latest version to get NXDN support of the BCD436HP.

On my NXDN system, for some reason, the system type has changed itself from "NXDN Trunk" to "ON', and it won't let me change it back. As a result, my LCN's are gone, along with some other data.

Also, the "Dept/Sites Quick Key Status" does not retain what I have checked or unchecked.

Looks like I am going to have to start from scratch to correct this mess.

This was fixed about an hour ago. Will be in the next release.

Okay, very good. I was able to recover from my issue by creating a new NXDN Trunked system, and then use the copy feature to copy all the Sites, Departments, etc. to the newly created system. (Thanks for having the "Copy Selected Nodes" feature)!

One more thing: I can read from and write to the scanner with no issue, however there is no progress bar, or anything to indicate if the process is completed or not. Knowing the upload/download progress would be a big help to avoid disconnecting the cable too soon.

On 12.11 - when editing the location settings for a site/department/etc., I cannot enter the decimal point in the "range" editbox. For example if I want to enter 12.5, and I type '1' '2' '.' '5', I see 125.

Going to Google Maps and moving the circle on the map then hitting Update fills in the proper value.
