Having some difficulty with my BCD536HP, Proscan and my brand new Comcast modem. Switched over yesterday from Verizon. Everything was working fine until I switched over to the new Wi-Fi. My new ip is 10.0.0.2. I entered that correctly and started receiving data to the onscreen scanner display. I entered rtsp://10.0.0.2/au:scanner.au in the input sound device box and try to reconnect. Nothing. I read in a post to try rtsp://10.0.0.02 That didn't work either. The bottom red UDP Not Connected stays on. The TCP Not Connected cycles on and off while trying to connect. And the following values are observed: TCP Scanner port: 554 TCP Computer port: 50621 UDP Scanner Port: 56008 UDP Computer Port: 56008.

My Proscan is up to date. My firmware is up to date including dongle. I've unplugged and plugged back in everything I can think of. Wi-fi, dongle, computer, radio. Am I missing a step? Thanks

Use the full URL like the first time you had it -> rtsp://10.0.0.2/au:scanner.au
Confirm the scanner IP address is 10.0.0.2

10.0.x.x sounds more like an internal ip address assigned by your modem, gateway, router.

If you mean confirm by looking at the Show WI-Fi information on the scanner, then yes I did. I tried both versions of the rtsp and neither worked.

I'm not that well versed on the subject of ip addresses. Can you simplify what that means and what I should do. It sounds like you might be on the right track. Appreciate it.

I would double and triple check the IP address. I might have to start saying to quadruple check as it took a user last week four times before he found a IP typo.

As I said before, use the full URL like the example. A partial URL will not work and makes troubleshooting more difficult.

I entered rtsp://10.0.0.2/au:scanner.au into the dialog box as written here. Triple checked yesterday and today. It's what I entered. It's not working. The IP address as shown on the BCD536HP is 10.0.0.2
I added rtsp:// before the address and /au:scanner.au after the 2. Not working. What else may cause this?

The 10.0.0.2 is the ip address of your routers network. The 10.0.0.2 will only be accessible by other devices on the private network.

You need to use the isp assigned ip address. Google what is my ip address and see what that tells you

Or click on the Web server tab and click get my ip. It will show both the local and outside addresses.

Went to Web server tab and got my ip. Local 10.0.0.235 Outside 76.116.192.xxx (xxx are valid numbers, don't know if I should reveal it publicly) I tried the local and nothing. I tried the outside and same. Nothing.
This is very frustrating as I was able to set up my Verizon with out any problems. Thank you for helping me.

rtsp://10.0.0.2/au:scanner.au IP and format are correct. Keep it like that unless your scanner Wi-Fi IP address changes.

I would disable (for a test) any Internet Security program running.

{edit} Try power cycling the router too.

Don't know what I did but it's working now. After giving up before, I decided to try and access the wi-fi router by logging into it via the Comcast site.. Poked around a little bit to see if I would notice anything, but didn't really know what I was looking at. Logged off. came back to Proscan and voila it was receiving audio. I had left it on rtsp://10.0.0.2/au:scanner.au and now it is working. Beats me. But thanks everyone who jumped in

Broadcast Lockout List for RadioFeed software

Just and FYI for everyone. I am using RadioFeed for a Whistler 1040 scanner to provide a Brunswick County NC feed. I could not get the Broadcast Lockout list to work. Turns out the metadata was not on and apparently metadata is needed. I got the metadata working and the lockout list worked fine. Bob was helping but I figured it out.

Good to hear it's working. Actually, you did all the investigation work and figured it out.

Have a problem that just started a few nites ago. I run 2 radios during the day for milair with my laptop. Have had the same setup for a few years. When i come home at nite and go to shut everything down the proscan programs arent closing right now. Get the computer error that proscan isnt responding. Have to control-alt-delete it to get it shut down. Next day when i set everything back up and get to work to listen on the client software i have to login to my home computer through teamviewer and reset the ports because the ones from the nite before show they are still in use. For some reason the software isnt shutting down correctly?? Its a Windows 8.1 toshiba laptop. Running latest version of proscan. Using uniden 15X and 996XT scanners that are plugged into the computers own usb jacks.

Are you running Win10? Have you installed the recent update and re-booted?
