Click database
Click Import
Choose RR ( RR Subscription Required)

It opens small box that states: A Datbase File Must Be Open

Click On Database Menu And Click New Or Open

Stops there with no option to Log In or submit User and Password.

The port number is 554 as specified by the RTSP protocol specs in RFC 2326.
That's the scanner or outbound port. The inbound port to ProScan changes on each connection.

{edit} I don't think you want to find out what ports are in use but rather what is blocking the TCP traffic on port 554 to the scanner.

I used the resource monitor in Windows 7, there's nothing using TCP port 554.

Did you click on the Database menu then clicked on New? After that, go to the RRDB Import and log in.

{edit} You missed step 1.

You should see port 554 in the Remote Port column under the TCP Connection tab as long as one of the ProScan Audio Control tab Input Sound Device URL is selected. Please confirm.

The 30 day trial is fully functional just like the licensed copy. That's on the ProScan main web page.

Did you do as I advised in the email which is "I see you hit the Cancel button. Don't do that. Type in a Filename and click the Save button."

I even downloaded them form RR to my desktop, Opened Proscan, clicked database, Clicked open, looked in desktop, the folder I saved them in called Proscan 1, and it says that I'm missing a dll. file ext.

I cant find the 500 TCP port you referenced earlier!! I just think I'm not connecting to RR is the problem but don't know why. FYI I'm on a mac and running windows through bootcamp. I use it for my auto inventor and it works great. Just like having a PC. AGAIN I appreciate this more than you know!!

I don't have a problem listening to video or music though! Like You Tube.

A missing dll message indicates you didn't install ProScan correctly.

I never referenced port 500. Just port 554 which is used for the BCD536HP Wi-Fi audio which isn't the case here.

Negative.

You're all over the place which makes it difficult to guild you through the problem. Just focus on the original problem and follow the steps I posted earlier.

Type in a Filename and click the Save button then try to import from the RRDB.

{edit} Perhaps you choose a filename by clicking on an existing file which overwrote the file with a ProScan database file. If that's the case, you may have to download and install ProScan again. No need to uninstall ProScan first.

Ok, I bet you knew I would be back! Do I want to up load my current programing and then add the RR import to it before I export to my unit? I guess what I'm asking is, if I export will it erase or overwrite what is currently on my scanner or will it just add it to it?

Import from RRDB first then upload to the scanner. Please use the correct terminology so it doesn't add to the confusion. Upload to scanner, not export to the scanner.

Choose the appropriate upload option in the Upload window. Options are self explanatory. Are they not?

{edit} After you upload the new systems, you may want to download from the scanner to the ProScan database so the database will be an exact copy of the systems in the scanner.

Ok Bro.. I got it all working as it should! I apologize for the inconvenience and you have been a great help!
Are you the creator of the proscan software?

Yup, I'm doing that. Below is from the user manual, available at https://www.proscan.org/ProScan_Manual.pdf:

Can I run multiple copies of ProScan on one computer?

Yes. Many instances of ProScan can run on the same computer. 1) Copy and paste an existing folder and rename the new folder.
2) Run from the new folder and change the options specific to that instance.

Ok, I got a folder named current programing. I also have a folder called playing around. I done this to learn how to enter all my info through proscan instead of the manual entry and to just tinker and learn. I didn't want to mess up the program that I knew was right! Now I have a new system completely set up in my playing around folder and would like to add the new system to my current programming folder. I uploaded it to the BC as an addition to current program. I would like to know if I can add it through proscan with a wipe then upload, as prosan recommends! Clear as mud??? Appreciate any help!
