ProScan Version 1.7 Build 2 includes the RadioReference Imports feature, improved Scanner Over IP, and bug fixes.

Supported scanners are the BCD996T, BC796D, BC785D, BC780XLT, BC296D, and the BC250D.

I'm thriving to make this the best Computer Aided Scanning program and suggestions are very much appreciated.

Works fine for me. Open the Favorites Editor (aka database), select rows of UID, hit Copy/Move Selected Rows to..., select Copy to Database, select the appropriate system, write to scanner.

I don't actually use the feature, so I'm not the one to ask. I maintain a separate list of UID which I import directly into the Favorites Editor. I never prepend a % to the user alias or an i to the UID, and it all works just fine.

NICE, that's even easier than what I was doing (I was going into each UID table and updating). Our statewide system is coordinated with our local system so there are no duplicate UID's. I can just manage one UID file for the entire state & don't need to have system name in the file. Radios are grouped by county number so you know where a radio belongs when you see it for the first time.

DO you mind sharing the file? I'm just starting on clmrn.

I wonder if that's the issue. I think I'm adding the % and i before the characters.

Bob could clarify, but as far as I know the % and i are only necessary for the older DMR scanners, not for the x36HP or SDS series. The latter of which have a separate list for UID's and don't need that silly i prefix to indicate a UID, nor do you need to have 16+ character aliases looked up from a ProScan file, as the x36HP and SDS are capable of displaying 32 character aliases.

KISS...just import the raw ID (123 not i123) and alias without the % prefix.

The UID file is for my local area (Indianapolis area). It's taken me a few to figure this out so I fell your pain. Once you get it you'll slap your head and say Ahhh!!!

Here's what I suggest. Copy the following 8 lines so they're in your clipboard (this is just an example for learning how this all works, your UIDs will be different).

41111 LOGTEXT=DISP JOHNSON COUNTY
41112 LOGTEXT=DISP JOHNSON COUNTY
93100 LOGTEXT=DISP DIST 52
93101 LOGTEXT=DISP DIST 52
93102 LOGTEXT=DISP DIST 51
93103 LOGTEXT=DISP DIST 51
93140 LOGTEXT=DISP IDHS EOC
93141 LOGTEXT=DISP IDHS

Next go into the ProScan Favorites editor and click on the indented line of the trunked system. In my case it's "Indianapolis Department Of Public Safety
89799

In the right side pane click Unit IDs
89800

Click "Add Unit ID"
89801

Click "Get Clipboard"
89802

I set the Delimiter to be " LOGTEXT=" (There is a space before the L)
Sometimes you need to click the "Get From Clipboard Everything" button for it to reload.
Change the column names so the "Unit ID" is in the column with the numbers and the "Chan Name" is in the column with the names.
89803
Click import and now you have UIDs imported into that trunking system. Save and then write to scanner.

You'll need to do this for each of the trunked systems you want to add UIDs to.

Let us know if you're OK after these steps.

DIdn't realize you're in IN haha. I was trying to do it without having to "get clipboard". If in the end i have to, then so be it

That's 100% correct. I'll clarify that in the program and manual

Is it suppose to be like this Screenshot
Or should the edited name be in the UID Before Lookup spot? <-- this is what I keep getting when I use the big copy button
Off hand, I think the "UID Before Lookup" column contains the text tag (or UID Name) received from the scanner. If you don't have a UID programmed in the scanner then the "UID Before Lookup" will contain the numerical value. If a UID is programmed in the scanner then the "UID Before Lookup" will contain the text tag (or UID Name).

I thought I had it, but I didn't. Screenshot I have tried every combo to make it come out like Screenshot but it always changes and appears like this in proscan after it has a hit from the scanner Screenshot.. To me it shouldn't update any field except the one I edit.
Let me know if I'm correct in my way of thinking

I can't get the program ro work properly on SDS200.

The alias never displays on the scanner and it repeatedly logs the same UID without the alias.
