ProScan Version 1.7 Build 2 includes the RadioReference Imports feature, improved Scanner Over IP, and bug fixes.

Supported scanners are the BCD996T, BC796D, BC785D, BC780XLT, BC296D, and the BC250D.

I'm thriving to make this the best Computer Aided Scanning program and suggestions are very much appreciated.

Hi Bob!

FYI, I found that when I edit the UID Lookup file (I like to take a copy & put it in BBEdit so I can quickly sort it) if the 3 blank lines are removed in the header (where the comments are) it will chop off the first 3 UID's when it rebuilds the header.

Hope that makes sense? I can post some screen shots if that will help.

Thanks!

I'll look at it before the next release.

I don't think any work needs to be done in this area. Just add the UID's below the header. It's been this way for years. I think this is more of a request or a request disguised as a bug.

That's what I have been doing (making sure the spaces are in the header) and it's been working, just took me a minute to figure out. It was just an FYI.

Thanks!

I am trying to figure out how to change the colors in my history logging screen. I prefer a "dark mode" while I have the laptop on in my living room. It is nice to have the "Scanner interface" screen the same color scheme as my sds100. But I would also like to change the bright logging screens as well. Thanks.

You need to change it in sentinel and save. On proscan go to options >> scanner specific. Near the bottom you can reread your profile or import a new one.

The only way to change the grid colors is by changing the windows color themes. I've seen it done before. I don't want to try it as I may mess it up the way I have it now and can't get it back.

Google "windows color themes" for how to do it.

Bob, CRAP!! I was hoping there was a change option in the options of Proscan. Would that be hard to do in a future update? Just purchased Proscan. Love it on my new SDS100. I also use my SUrface Pro 7 in my truck while traveling. That would make a dark theme great as well. Thanks for keeping up this great scanning tool.

After each transmission, Proscan UID Logging Hits remain at "1".
Duration increases but hit counter remains at 1.

"Each UID New Row" is not selected.

Can someone tell me what setting I've missed to increase the hits after each transmission.

The hits column should increment when the same UID comes up again. It doesn't matter if the "Each UID New Row" is checked or not.
It works here.

That is normally correct.

I have 2 instances of Proscan running side by side using SDS100's.
All option settings are identical in both.

On one instance for each transmission, the Hits column increases in both "History Logging" and "UID Logging" tabs.
This is what I want and have had working for a number of years.

The other instance has the Hits column remaining at "1" on both tabs regardless of receiving transmissions (time duration increases).
This has only occurred recently.

No changes have been made to any options on Proscan.
I have updated some FL's using Sentinel, something I do frequently and don't have any Proscan logging issues unless recently.

I'm reluctant to uninstall and reinstall, as I don't want to risk losing the logged history so far.
Has anyone else come across this issue and how did you fix it?

I have a different problem. I couldn't get it to do what I wanted on my 200 (Translate and display UID's) so I'm trying it on my 325P2.

When I enter the text in the UID after lookup editable column, the next time that UID transmits, sometimes the label is gone.

SOME of them "take", but some just won't.

Remove that log hit(left click highlight and right click delete). Maybe it's a glitch somewhere.
Does it do it for everything you have, or just one?

Some UIDs save... others I have to keep entering them.

The actual unit description never ever shows up on the scanner.

I guess I just don't "Get" this program.
Ya it’s kind of confusing for the uid stuff. After you upload the uid names to the scanner, proscan will change the field the uid name is in after the first hit. It’s very annoying. Let me make sure mines working good tomorrow and I’ll send you how I did it to my 100

Nothing should be changed after the 1st hit. Where is it being changed?

I just deleted those single hit entries (about 30hrs worth so not losing much) in both History and UID Logging tabs.
It made no difference as hits continued to remain at "1".
I have two instances with mirrored settings. This is only occurring with the one.
I'm at a loss.

I'll backup the history logging, then uninstall and reinstall the one instance and monitor it for an hour.
If it returns to normal increasing Hits as I've enjoyed in the past, I'll copy back the history logging into the newly installed instance.

Try deleting the "UID Hits.txt" file in case it is corrupted. Stop ProScan first. If it still isn't resolved then send me an email so I can send test files to see why it's not working and can fix it.
