ProScan Version 1.7 Build 2 includes the RadioReference Imports feature, improved Scanner Over IP, and bug fixes.

Supported scanners are the BCD996T, BC796D, BC785D, BC780XLT, BC296D, and the BC250D.

I'm thriving to make this the best Computer Aided Scanning program and suggestions are very much appreciated.

Always advise the scanner type when reporting a bug so I can try to duplicate it.
Scanner does not matter. E.g. BCT15.
Sorry but never heard of this one before. What do you mean by not accurate. 15%-30% of them or a different tone shows in the row?
They are just blank. But actually Uniden show tone on each transmission. ProScan just do not log most of tones properly.

Dear ProScan!

How about to do something with recording bug specified above? I get about 100 dummy files each day, They have the same size (8844, 9644) and all are blank. Look at screen attached.

I've tried to remove Tone from channel and used TLO (Tone Lockout) instead (to prevent recording of some unwanted transmission), but it does not help. ProScan creates a lot of small files with transmissions with locked tone. And also creates a lot dummy files :( I.e. no way to record only wanted transmission. Please investigate.

I love Proscan

I had a 346xt (under warranty) I had to send to Uniden to be serviced twice for the same issue - second time around they gave me a new unit. During this time, had a computer disaster - lost my HD AND the external backup HD. Lost it all..including my copy of Proscan, all database and config files for the 346xt.

Well, first thing was to get a copy of Proscan. Losing my HD and backup - I had no receipt/proof that I had bought it. I advised Bob that if something couldn’t be done to prove I had bought it that'd be cool and I would gladly purchase another license for Proscan because I like it so much because, after all (HD crash or not) Its kinda my responsibility to keep up with those records on my end. Bob was quick to let me know that wouldn’t be necessary and was quick to dive into his records and quickly found a record of the transaction.

Oh, and as far as Proscan's performance and features, it took me only around 12-15 min start to finish to get this new 346xt just like my old one..

How can you beat that!!

I'm ready to look at this. Send me an email again so I can start to send you test files.

Man I run proscan 24/7/365 and the only time it's restarted is after a power outage if the UPS dies and I never have issues with it. I am just waiting for some of the newer features in RadioFeed to be included in Proscan.

All the stuff from RadioFeed is in except the GRE/RD metadata support. I still have more work on ProScan before release.

My feed is currently running on Oddcast on a XPe WYSE. Before that I was using ScannerCast until the ROM went belly up. I have just been to lazy to install .Net and get ScannerCast going, or ProScan.

I tried ProScan to stream a while ago and could not figure out how to directly connect like I do with ScannerCast. I know I can't do it with Oddcast either but it forces me to monitor my output now.

The two questions I have come up with are can I connect directly like in ScannerCast, IE http://10.0.0.4:5700? Or only with the weblinky thingy? And can I turn the drive locking back on with ProScan? I cannot with OddCast, it just doesnt pick up the audio when I do, I also neglected to try it before when using ScannerCast.

Thanks,
Justin

I purchased ProScan 4.4.7 for my Uniden Scanners. Can you share what may be added in the next release and when that release might be released? Thank you.

So far I got for the next version 4.4.8

• Added - Source Client and Web Server improvements from RadioFeed.
• Added - Audio control test tab with tone and loopback options for testing.
• Added - Selectable Title / Caption icon.
• Added - BCD396XT and BCD996XT Close Call Settings added VHF High 2 parameter.
• Added - Web Server Log client connections w/ address, port, time connected, and user-agent.

I can't say exactly when the release will be because it's software and I like to take my time and perfect it as much as possible. Not before October as I will be taking off 3 weeks in September.

I've been using ProScan for a few years with a BC780XLT. ProScan has worked great and has been flawless for my usage.

So today I got a new BCT15X. When I connected it to ProScan I wasn't fully sure what to expect since I have not owned a DMA type scanner before. Man, what a joy it was to program the new 15X using the integrated interface to RR.com.

ProScan, the best thing since sliced bread! :)

I am using Proscan 4.4.7 to program and control a Uniden 396XT among other radios. I do not use GPS based control/logging and have only downloaded one of the systems in the radio off the internet. I read the radio today and for some unknown reason, it showed that there are 105,000+ Locations (at which point I stopped the program). The download time showed 0:01:25 when it was done even though it ran for quite a while. After I stopped it, I tried the download again and it ran 0:01:29 and downloaded 0 locations.

One possible hint is that the location count was increasing at 100 per second exactly as near as my watch could tell.

LTR systems.

I have talkgroups in Proscan for LTR as 0-01-012 etc.... but the labels don't show up on the scanner or the folder/file names in the recordings.

Do I have them in wrong?

Are the channels in the scanner? When you uploaded them to the scanner, did you get any upload errors?
What the scanner type?
