ProScan Version 1.7 Build 2 includes the RadioReference Imports feature, improved Scanner Over IP, and bug fixes.

Supported scanners are the BCD996T, BC796D, BC785D, BC780XLT, BC296D, and the BC250D.

I'm thriving to make this the best Computer Aided Scanning program and suggestions are very much appreciated.

I'm using the latest version and the audio coming from the client on the remote scanner over ip isn't very clear compared to my RR.com feed. This is on the LAN in my house is there anyway to clean up the audio?

That's because RSOIP (Remote Scanner Over IP) is using the G729 CODEC which specifies 8000 samples per second.

Is this something that can be changed. It's on my LAN so I am not worried about the bandwidth usage.

If you mean a setting then no. If you are requesting it then a maybe. An email is a stronger email because I don't forget to do the one's in the wish list folder but it will be a while.

Sorry for the repeat message, but I was hoping to see if there is a bug in the program, or if I am doing something wrong. Proscan seems like a great program other than this .

I was experimenting with Proscan and I noticed that whenever I uploaded to my 396XT, that band #5 was disabled in Close Call.

I discovered that on the Proscan "Close Call Settings" tab, that only six bands appear for selection rather than the seven which are available in the scanner. It seems that VHF High2 is missing.

As a result of the missing tick box, VHF High2 is disabled in the scanner after each upload.

I just downloaded the program, so I assume it is the latest version. It is version 4.47.

If the answer is yes to the following questions then yes it could be a bug.

Do you have the latest scanner firmware installed and does VHF High 2 show in the scanner?

I checked with the Uniden site, and it looks like the latest FW version is 1.08.14, which is the version in my scanner.

The scanner shows the following bands when I look under the menu "Close Call, Set CC Bands"

VHF Low 1
VHF Low 2
Air Band
VHF High1
VHF High2
UHF
800MHz+

The Proscan software only shows a single "VHF High" entry on the Close Call Settings tab.

Whenever I upload from Proscan to the scanner, I find that VHF High2 is always disabled. It's not a big deal to re-enable it, but I was wondering if I was missing something obvious, or if the program has a bug.

I think the program is great is every other way, and will probably purchase it after the trial is over.

I'll fix it for the next version. I think when I did the 396XT, the protocol document wasn't out so I relied on the 346XT protocol document.

I am waiting for next ProScan version and hope that %F variable problem will be fixed.

Bob, please do not terminate ProScan project – the best recording/logging software for Uniden I seen!

Guys who not yet supported Bob – go to ProScan and make a purchase!

In a week when I get back from VC, I will be continuing to work on RadioFeed adding some cool stuff. After that, I will be putting the RadioFeed improvments in ProScan (except GRE support).

Sounds good, but RadioFeed is not actual for me and scanning enthusiast who I know.

I offered to send you a test file on this a year ago. You replayed that you didn't have time because you were busy with a house remodel. That's the last I heard from you until now. Now you are asking that it be down ASAP.

I will work on this at my convenience.

Guys, don't buy ProScan, use Butel. It better in times. It allows to manage bunch of freqs/TGIDs at the same time. ProScan will never do that.

Interesting fact: Bob asked me few times to promote ProScan here (i.e. at RR forum) in exchange of bug fix (I can show proof e-mail if needed). But personally I don't like ProScan. It have very poor memory management and contains a lot of bugs which not fixed for many months. ProScan is very close to abandoned project, IMHO. And Bob deletes all unwanted posts (bug reports & etc.) on his forum. Don't buy it, don't trifle your $$$.

In post #572 you said the software is the best, now this post, why the change of mind all of a sudden?

Yes, Bob forced pushed me to this lie. He asked me to promote ProScan in this topic in exchange of some ProScan update (file variables). And I sure for 100% that not only me.
