Also being new any good references for streaming or being able to listen via another computer or app? Willing to learn just need direction to a reference.
ProScan will allow you to listen to, view, and control your scanner from another PC (RSOIP), or any web browser on a computer or smartphone (web server).

Looking to use PROSCAN and was wondering to get a list of which ID and TG are being used on a P25 or DMR (536HP scanner) is that in close call or does it do it automatically?
If you just want a list of tg's and radio id's on a system, just hold on that system and proscan will log automatically. Close call is not for what your looking to do.

Not sure I understand your first question but it sounds like logging functionality in ProScan would give you what you seek.

ProScan definitely is a solution to stream or listen in another room from a second computer, or device with browser.

Thanks for the replies and as stated I am just learning to use PROSCAN. I am more of a ZELLO WORK/Network Radio/PTToC guru.

I went to the PROSCAN site and was hoping to find somewhat of a manual. But I will play with it and see what happens.

Thanks to everyone for the help.

If you are using ProScan, the manual is available in the "support" tab at the top of the page.

PROSCAN + BCD537HP & no UID decode or Talkgroup decode

I am new to PROSCAN (go easy) and downloaded the 30 day trial first. I connected my 536HP and it shows decoding with the frequency name, the RSSI, etc.
However, it is not decoding the UID's or any talkgroup being used.

I am monitoring a VHF simulcast not trunked P25 system. UID display is turned on in the menu like the PROSCAN manual says to do.

Any tips or helps as to why it will not decode the UID or the Talkgroup?

If it's set up in the scanner as a regular conventional channel it will be treated as such and will not decode that info. If its a digital conventional freq, enter it in the scanner as p25 One Frequency and set the system to id search.

Always read the scanner into Proscan, make changes, then write back to scanner.

There is a workaround for this: If you go to the conventional digital frequency in question: Edit Channel > select the channel > Edit Name. Press "no" key twice to clear out existing name, press E/Yes key. Press "Yes' to set default name. Net/Sys/TGID,UID will now be displayed as shown

Decided to bring my BC536HP online to feed Mil Air stuff with just using the outside IP address plus the port number (example 292.2.2.425:9090)
I followed the instructions for setting it up per the PDF by NYRHKY94. Using Web Server so that anyone with the link can monitor.

When I try to access it within the network it works great. Web image and audio works just like the SDS200.

Following the instructions - I selected the BC536HP1 in my router with a reserved IP address and did port forwarding for the port I selected.
I did not set up the port forwarding for the computer the software is running on - it would conflict anyway.

When I go outside the local network and try to use the Outside IP address plus the port as opened for the scanner - it does not open (basically times out)

Running on Xfinity - wifi with the 536HP (all firmware up to date). Anti-Virus software on all computers is the same Trend Micro.

So what am I missing ? Like I said the two SDS200s I have at two separate site work great with minimum effort to feed the audio and the web image of the scanner scanning. Nothing fancy being scanner - just a bunch of AM mode VHF and UHF aircraft frequencies.

Any help appreciated.

You have to use IP of computer running ProScan in your port forwarding rule, not the scanner’s IP.

Okay let me reconfigure - will come back with the results. Thanks

Okay reporting back and obviously I misread the instructions DUH. All is fine now.

Thanks again for the input and the fast response.

Bob as always - great software,

Not sure if I should start a new thrtead but proscan seems to disconnect from the scanner about every 3 days. Its running but doesn't see the scanner. Have to restart the scanner to get it logging again. Win 10 system.

Sounds like you might be set up for DHCP. Have you tried setting a fixed IP address for the scanner?

I see this sometimes also. I am using the Vonets wifi lan dongle instead of hardwired LAN. I am using fixed IP.
