Sorry I have had issues with both and posted this on the wrong site.
My Pro Scan issue is while I have my 15x connected and showing on the top off the screen, when I click on data base and scroll down to Radio Reference to import, I highlight Radio Reference and I get a message a database File must be open. Click the data base menu and Click New or Open. I have done both and get another error message Error retrieving data from ProScan/RRDB Import.txt. So similar issues with both even though I have signed into the RR site with my proper credentials.

As Bud noted, you have to have an open database file to do imports. Since you don't (yet), click on the drop-down file menu & select the option for a New file. Once you have the new file open, you'll be able to download or program a file for your scanner. Be sure and save the new file when exiting the database editor.

I answered your query about FreeSCAN in your other thread. You have the wrong version.

Folks, My website is down. I'm on chat with HostGator now to get this resolved. To make a long story short, Yesterday, I requested HostGator to change a PTR record from proscan.org to pro.proscan.org. I thought the record was just for email deliverability but it messed up something in the name servers so now I'm asking them to change it back. It will take a few hours for the records to propagate. Sorry about that.

Perhaps this should be obvious or is documented somewhere but I didn't see it in a brief search so here goes: how many computers can ProScan be installed on with a single license? Is it just one?

From the FAQ:

Q: Do I need to purchase another license if I upgrade to the latest ProScan version?
A: No. Each license allows activation on two computers and is valid for all future releases.

OK well I read the questions in the FAQ but didn't notice the answer posted also answered another question in addition to the question listed. My bad.

I see now it mentions it on the Purchase Info page of the site. I had overlooked that and skimmed the FAQs, overlooking where it's mentioned in that answer posted above. My apologies!

Just purchased a SDS 200. Using ProScan now with 996P2 . What is the best way to program the SDS 200 with the 996P2 data and create favorite list.
I believe recreating in Sentinel and/or ProScan are your only options. I don't believe there's a copy option, however, I've never tried, so maybe Bob (aka @ProScan) has a way to do this.

Import from a ProScan DMA file
1. In the Favorites Editor, go to the File menu then New or Open an existing favorites list
2. In the File menu, click on Import ProScan DMA
3. Navigate to the folder containing the 996P2 database file
4. Select the file then click the Open button
5. Click the Import button

Hi Bob, Is this just using ProScan or am I using Sentinel also?

Using this in lieu of the standard HTML5 player on the web page.

You were asking about importing from the 996P2 and as you know, Sentinel doesn't support the 996P2 so my reply was geared to using ProScan.

{edit} Do you want to import from the Sentinel FL or the HPDB? That can be done too.
Hi Bob, Did the import and send the favorite 001 to scanner. The only problem is none of the trunk systems are playing from the file.

Do you mean "scanning" and not playing? Are the conventional systems scanning? It could be several reasons such as a specific Service Type not enabled, sites missing, FL QK, SQK, & DQK not enabled. It may be faster if you can zip up the whole folder containing the Favorites and post it here.
