Yeah, as eluded to, I would suggest reserving that IP on your router for the scanner (static IP). Hopefully that would mean it would re-establish the connection.

Hi Bob,
Using ProScan with my SDS200. I was just looking at the Weather programming on the scanner and realized there is nothing in the SW to program the SDS200 for Weather.

Use the Sentinel Profile editor for that. ProScan doesn't have a profile editor at this time. It's on the list but I have many items to do before I can look into it.

Per the FAQ page on the proscan.org website
Sentinel is needed for Profile editing. ProScan doesn't have a profile editor as it would be 100% duplication that couldn't be improved on.

Bob,
No problem. Easy to do on the scanner, just a couple of FIP codes to enter.

Really looking forward to playing around with this when I get home. Hopefully this will stop or lessen the "Will my favorites lists be updated when the RR database gets updated?" questions frequently asked here. Time will tell

It won't automatically update the Favorites but it will or should show the differences between the RRDB and the ProScan database.

I understand the differences would be shown, but. My curiosity is, would it be the same way that Sentinel updates weekly? What am I missing?
No. It's a different type of process. ProScan imports directly from the RRDB, keeping track of the RRDB systems & group indexes. When the 'Get RR Data' button is pressed then the data is retrieved from the RRDB in real time using the indexes then the differences are shown.

That is what I was thinking. Knowing that Sentinel tracks the HPDB/Firmware, I didnt think Proscan did the same thing. But I had to ask.

Unless something has changed, Sentinel is not realtime...Uniden servers update once a week whereas ProScan is getting realtime. That's how I have understood it to be, at least.
