Trying on work on some GPS stuff and when I adjust the boundaries in the Google maps, I do not get the message to update node. I also get a script error when I click on the Google Maps button in the favorites editor. Error attached.

I think I saw that same error the other day. Later it cleared up and worked so I didn't mention it. I'm 99% sure it's the same thing I saw.

I'll look at it before the next release.

OK, what have I done wrong? lol I started using ProScan on a new computer and feel like I have it setup the same as on my other one but for some reason neither logging nor recording is working. UID Logging is showing some entries but regular logging and recording neither one are populating with anything. Old machine was Win10 and new one is Win11 so I may have missed a setting somewhere but I feel like I've checked everything. Any ideas?

Hi,

I'm relatively new to ProScan, but so far I've found it to be fantastic for my needs. I hooked up my Uniden scanner, started ProScan, set up VOX recording and it's running like a dream. I do have a question, thought - is there any way to force the 'Recorder Grid Log.txt' file to be automatically updated every time a new transmission is recorded, instead of having to manually click on the 'Copy Recorder Grid..' button? If not, is there an automation interface (command line, API, etc.) to accomplish this from an external program or script?

I spent some time searching this thread for an answer, but I'm not completely sure on what I should be searching for.

Thanks

John

Verified it is set to the 536HP.

OK, so I made no changes but after a day or so of it running it started logging and recording. I know no one believes me that I didn't change anything but I know I didn't. So I have no explanation other than it's working now so it's no longer an issue.

No. Are you using the ""Recorder Grid Log.txt"" for a specific reason? Another file: "Recording Data.txt" is the underlaying data for the Recorder grid. That file updates at 1 hour intervals and when ProScan closes. See if that file is useful.

I'm just playing around with doing some pattern analysis of things like call frequencies/durations, sources, etc. to see if I can detect major events in my area and send myself a text message as it's occurring. I'll then mirror the relevant call recordings to my NextCloud instance when something is detected so I can listen to them and see what's happening. The Recorder Grid Log has the info on systems, groups, channels, etc. that I'd like to use. It's not a big deal - just an interesting thought exercise.

Thanks for the info.

I experienced a bad storm last night, that knocked out the power briefly. When I restarted my computer, then Proscan. I thought correcting the 'Scanner Type' would solve the problem. Then I noticed my FL was closed as is the Port. I did a power off of my scanner and, removed the USB cable. Then I re-attached the USB cable, pwered on my scanner, and re-started Proscan. That didn't fix the problem. Before I do a re-boot, any ideas?

Also if rebooting computer, power cycle the scanner after the computer finishes rebooting
I was trying to avoid that, but. That will be last resort.
Do you see the USB adapter in device manager?
If you are asking in the sense of a bad USB connector, or cable, then no. Because, When I connect the USB cable to the USB port on my 436HP. My PC gives the audio tone of, when a USB connection is made with a USB Device.
