I think the confusion is coming with the terminology used here.

When you're at home, you can access things on your home network using local IP addresses. When you leave, you have to use the external (internet) IP address and the port, with port forwarding setup in your router/home network, which (in those settings) will point to your local IP for your scanner.

Don't enter it here but to verify, you're entering your external IP address, a colon, and the port when you're on the cellular network (not our home wifi) correct?

@MayportDrone You have to use port forward to the internal IP of pc running ProScan, not the scanner. Do you have that part right?

Hard for anyone to really help you with any degree of certainty because this issue has nothing to do with ProScan nor your scanner, and everything to do with your router and maybe your ISP.
Well that’s my point. If someone would be willing to assist if I have it correct. Regardless of it being the scanner or the router. It was a general question for help amongst the entirety of the situation. I could have something wrong. But, as far as I know following videos and reading. It seemed right in my eyes.

See. That may be the issue. I am using the home Wi-Fi IP it gave me. It’s different from the one I used when initially setting up the scanner. Which is probably why it’s only letting me connect locally.

OK. So yes, after a few minutes. I am using the local IP and not my (WAN) IP address. So, I will adjust my settings and report back with an update! Thank you everyone!

Yeah, when you’re off the local network you can’t use the local address. You have to use the WAN address and port which should port forward to your scanner.

Are you using just one router? Swapping out routers shouldn't matter.

I wouldn't mess with any settings until you use canyouseeme.org. Enter in the Web Server port # and see if it shows close or open. The ProScan Web Server has to be running for this test. I think you already did this but do it again just in case something changed. If closed then that has to be troubleshot. If open then test with your browser using the outside address and the Web Server port #. Make sure you don't have any typos in the phone browser URL area.

If you want, private message me with the outside address and port # to see if I can connect.

I suppose there's a possibility that your ISP is blocking the server. It happens more if the server port # is 80 or 443 so don't use those ports. Who is your ISP?

I used PS to read my scanner (SDS100/200). Both have the same color scheme, however, when using PS to display the scanner, the colors do not match what I have displayed on the scanners. What setting am I missing?

Here you go
I've tried what you've said, and am still getting PS to display green text over a black background.

A bit of background...

Previously, I've used Sentinel to do all of the programming.
I decided to change things around this time with my Favorite Lists and gave PS a try at re arranging everything by services instead of assigning an FL key to each county.

So I used PS to start from scratch.

When I finished, I had my FL's organized by services and everything runs great, so far.

However, PS is not mimicking the display on the scanner, even after going in and changing what you showed me in your example above.

I'm stumped, perhaps the author of PS could chime in?

It works here on IOS ver 16.5.1. I don't have any suggestions other then reboot your iPhone.

Bob have you been given the chance to play with the 2 new Unidens?
No, I haven't. It's not like the old days when UPMan would include us software developers in the Beta program and send us test scanners and/or DMR/NXDN keys. These two models using banks and 1000 channels total. Crazy stuff. I'm not sure I will be supporting them but I guess it depends on the popularity.

I don't think UIDs would work with the recorder as it is now because the recorder is based on channels and many UIDs per channel so the latest UID is logged. I have plans for a new recorder based on UIDs, similar to how the UID Logging tab is separated from the History Logging tab.

Also perhaps the UID sent from the scanner is blank. You could monitor the 'Scanner Data.txt' file to be sure. It needs to be turned on in the Options - General tab.
First off, let me be the 334,225th person to say that I LOVE the Proscan software for use with my SDS200. No question about that.

I was also looking for a way to work with the UIDs. I'm also seeing blanks after changing a few things in various tab and figured I was doing something wrong. I have a selfish interest in getting the UIDs to work. My kid is working the Wisconsin State Fair and I was hoping to use Proscan to be able to isolate HER transmissions and possibly record them on the new NXDN system via UID just for kicks.

Are you seeing blanks in the UID Logging or History Logging tab?
