ProScan Version 1.7 Build 2 includes the RadioReference Imports feature, improved Scanner Over IP, and bug fixes.

Supported scanners are the BCD996T, BC796D, BC785D, BC780XLT, BC296D, and the BC250D.

I'm thriving to make this the best Computer Aided Scanning program and suggestions are very much appreciated.

I have an issue where sometimes the entire program will freeze when the webserver is running, can't exactly tell but it might be an issue with how many people are listening to it?

I have an SDS100 setup with it.

The program ProScan.exe version 22.4.1.1 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.

Actually, it does snap to step, my error. Got that mixed up with the frequency display of the pointer.

It may not change to the new center frequency if the pointer frequency is out of band.

It's working well. If the span could stay static when tuning around it would be even better. The waterfall on the scanner itself allows for this. For example, I'm using the 2.88 MHz span with 152.8 as the low frequency and 155.7 as the high. When I tune using the function knob it does not re-center the signal.

Can you make it single click to tune or is something causing the need to double-click? Not a big deal but just curious. Also, it would be nifty to be able to click in the waterfall section to tune as well. Of course I'm basing this all on the performance of various SDRs such as the Airspy devices used in conjunction with SDR# software, or an SDRPlay device with SDRUno etc. Not sure how feasible it is here. Regardless, this is great being able to break it out and resize it.

I will be doing that by changing the marker frequency to the pointer frequency. I may make an option to choose the operation of clicking the pointer frequency.

I want to keep it a double click so it doesn't accidently change.

I don’t think I am serving “folders & files”… how do I check?

If you're serving folders/files with the web server, the folder you chose to serve would be shown here on this line on the "Main" tab of the web server tab:

There was nothing in the box, but I clicked clear anyways.
Doubt it’ll help though since I never chose a folder in the first place, actually I wonder what serving does do… is it like setting a root directory to host files out of? (I guess like /var/www/html)

I am trying to add a system remotely to my SDS100 while i am at work. Proscan will let me open my favorites editor and will send the MSM command to scanner and scanner goes into USB mass storage mode but will not connect to read or send sites. I have clicked on refresh multiple times and still will not let me. I can control everything else remotely from the client on the my laptop. My SDS100 is connected to a windows 10 desktop at home, and I am using a windows 11 laptop.

I’ve also experienced this with my SDS100, but thought I was doing something wrong.

ProScan doesn't support the MSM/SD card copying files over the internet. I don't know if it's possible.

Serving folders & files is most commonly used for serving ProScan recordings. You can choose any folder to serve and it will serve the sub-folders too.

alright, do you have any idea on how I could figure out the issue with the crashing? I don't think it's my issue (since I tested 2 computers) but I want to be sure.

Do you want some info about the computers, if it would help?

Has anyone noticed while using the Remote Scanner over IP functionality, that once the remote scanner receives a frequency the squelch knob on the client goes to zero and all you hear is the squelch sound? I own the remote scanner and have full access to it for control, it is configured with a control password., I set that originally to 5 whike logged into the remote pc via RDP, when I remotely set it to say 5 from the client, and a frequency is received on the client, then the squelch knob drops to the lowest setting. I'm using OpenVPN for connectivity to the remote PC and have no other connectivity issues.

Remote OS, Windows 10 Pro - Proscan version 22.4
Local OS, Windows 11 Pro - Proscan version 22.4

The waterfall support is nearing completion. Let me know if you have any suggestions or find any bugs.
Unzip and copy the files over the originals. Stop ProScan 1st. It's still version 22.4

This file version 22.4.4.0
Added - Option to change the operation of double clicking the frequency pointer.
Added - 10 minute scroll bar to the waterfall display.

Prior file version 22.4.1.0
Added - Waterfall big knob to the sizable display to change the marker position.
Added - Waterfall pointer that's not dependent on steps.
Added - Waterfall colors option.

Hi Bob,

Thanks. It is working well. One thing I'm noticing is about a 5 second hesitation when double clicking on a signal. It seems to freeze up and then resume. I'm seeing it both on a resized screen and the normal display. Not sure if anyone else is noticing this. Other than that I like the way it works although I'd love a single click to tune to the signal if that were possible. Another thought; if there is any way to implement the thumbwheel on the mouse for fine tuning purposes that would be nifty. When double clicking sometimes we land slightly above and below the actual frequency that's being used. That quick scroll of the wheel would be ideal.

I mentioned this back a ways, but is there any way for you to embed subaudible tone, NAC, CC, RAN info on the screen? I wish future versions of the waterfall on the scanner itself would sacrifice the date and time display and that would be a good place to put better used info. IMHO anyway.

Great progress and thank you!
