Ok, there is no input and for some reason, I can't "see" the scanner in the windows settings. It's just asking for bluetooth, wireless or xbox stuff.

And to clarify, the appropriate input is primary sound capture device, correct?

It's been a LONG time since I've had to set it up new on a computer and I'm just having so much trouble.

If Windows can't see it then ProScan can't utilize it. So it's a Windows thing. It will have to see the input as connected to then tell ProScan that input exists for its use.

I'm glad you crossed that out because I searched for that and found nothing lol.

I'm wondering if I don't have the correct driver because when I plug in the scanner, I never got the USB acknowledgement.

I have found the input settings and it's either RealTek audio or the Microphone audio. I've tried both and now my volume is turned off and I can't get it back on. I've been working on this for over 24 hours and I have absolutely NO idea what is wrong.

In ProScan, I have it set up as source client. When I do loopback, nothing makes sound.

I crossed it out because you are hearing room noises. To find it, In the search bar, enter in Microphone Privacy Settings

That is the serial port driver which has nothing to do with the audio. That has to be resolved too.

Does the input show enabled and plugged in? Right click to enable it or set it as the default.

I found it, thank you! ProScan did have access to the microphone.

Next step: Does the audio meter (right side) in the Win Mixer shows audio when the scanner is receiving?
I haven't been able to get anything received from the scanner. It's just household noises and me talking to myself lol. I'm back on the old laptop that worked previously but I forgot what sound settings I used. I'm used to using a Mac for everyday things so Windows is lost to me. :(

Has anyone noticed while using the Remote Scanner over IP functionality, that once the remote scanner receives a frequency the squelch knob on the client goes to zero and all you hear is the squelch sound? I own the remote scanner and have full access to it for control, it is configured with a control password., I set that originally to 5 whike logged into the remote pc via RDP, when I remotely set it to say 5 from the client, and a frequency is received on the client, then the squelch knob drops to the lowest setting. I'm using OpenVPN for connectivity to the remote PC and have no other connectivity issues.

Remote OS, Windows 10 Pro - Proscan version 22.4
Local OS, Windows 11 Pro - Proscan version 22.4

Robert
Update: On this issue with the RSOIP Client causing the squelch to go to 0 or 1 when stopped on a conventional frequency. I spent a couple of days developing a test procedure and sending out test files. I could see that the scanner was initiating the squelch change so I recommended swapping out the SD card. After a new one was installed, it was still happening then I noticed, it was still happening without a client connected. The user stopped ProScan (server side) and it was still happening. Scanner has the latest firmware. It seems to only happens on channels with louder audio. @ra7850 is going to send the unit in for repairs. BCD536HP scanner.

In History Logging for an SDS100, in the Digital Status column, what's the difference between "Link" and P25? I've searched this thread but didn't find anything definitive.

That info comes from the scanner. Per the Easier to Read SDS-100/200 Digital Scanner Manual
P25 appears if the channel is receiving digitalized voice in Receive/Hold Modes
LNK appears when data is received on a voice channel in Receive/Hold Modes.

Yes and I'm still offline. Nothing works.
You got two options.
1) Troubleshoot this. If you go this route, provide a screenshot of the Win Mixer, Recording side.
Before a screenshot, right click on one of the inputs then check the option "Show Disabled Devices". See if the Line In shows

- OR -
2). Purchase a USB External Stereo Sound Adapter.

Is there a radio clone feature or similar ? I have frequencies set on a 436 and would like to import to the 780XLT. Looks like XML is created for the 780 but the .hpe for the 436. I'm sure I am missing the obvious here. Thanks.

Not directly because the 780 is based on banks and has only 500 channels.
Try the Get Clipboard function.
Very basic steps.
1) In the 436 Favorites Editor, go to the File menu then click on Export/Print.
2) Click the HTML File button then choose a file then click the Save button.
3) Open the HTML file created in step 2 then select the items to import and copy to the Win clipboard.
4) In the 780 Database Channels section, click the Get Clipboard button then click the Import button.

Using Version 22.5 on a SDS200 and feeding using web server. The feed/program has started freezing and the error code is 7.

Computer is a Win 8.1 64 bit running at 3.80 GHz Ram 32 GB

My other feed using the same software (but controlling a BC536HP is fine).

Any ideas ?

Thanks
