If the Analog; Response Time, Reference Gain, Dynamic Range and Digital: Response Time & Reference Gain are only used for the x96T series scanners, why do the XT and P2 scanner programming types still have these on there?

Good question. It looks like they may have been removed in the firmware at one point as far as the menu settings don't show them. I don't know if they are hidden and are still functional. The protocol accepts changes when they are uploaded and downloaded. I'll leave it as is for the time being.

Speaking of functions, while attempting to change site modulation under the utilities tab, I am met with an error message. I can't seem to make changes with either ProScan, or Sentinel, but I'm able to with ARC536PRO and via the scanner itself. I'm assuming this was available and functional in the past since the option to make changes exist, but it no longer works.

It's not found because it's a P25 trunk system and there isn't a Modulation parameter at the site level. The Modulation parameter is listed in the drop down box for systems that have a Modulation parameter at the site level such as Motorola systems.

The right side of this image doesn't show a modulation parameter.

{edit} Are you saying you can change the modulation at the site level with the scanner? What type of scanner? Is the scanner programmed with a P25 Trunk system?

This is a P25 phase 1 system and yes, the site modulation can be changed via the scanner. You first hold on a channel then press FN, the far right soft key says MOD, when you press it, you can change the modulation for the site. The procedure is the exact same for the SDS200, BCD436HP, and BCD536HP. Also, it can also be changed for each individual P25 (phase 1 or 2) site via ARC536 software in the drop-down box seen in the second photo.

I don't see a modulation parameter at the site level using the menu. If it's not there then ProScan won't show it either. Using a SDS200 w/ firmware 1.23.07 sub 1.03.05.

I guess it's just one of those things that are hidden from the menu like IFX.

BTW, I'm running the exact same firmware.

Thanks for looking into this! Even though it's not really mentioned at all, it is one more option to aid in the fine tuning of stubborn sites when filters and IFX still won't cut it.

Has there been any update to adding Profile options to Pro Scan for the SDS200? Currently I'm using Sentinal for everything but programing the channels. Thank you.

Is there a way on the web server portion to set it to check periodically is a connected client is still online and if not stop sending data?

I am having problems with the current listeners never going down. Seems like every time a client connects it will just continuously spew data to that connection despite it no longer being there. I have tested with local computers, I can make the connection and it shows and the new port connections, but after closing the browser, 24 hours later it is still sending data to these connections.

To close these connections I have to periodically stop the web server and start it again to clear the current listeners or my connections will max out and a good chunk of bandwidth will be used up by dead clients.

ProScan version?

No user control to check if a client is connected. There are a couple of mechanisms internally that handles that.
How do you know it's sending data? Do you see the bytes incrementing in the Bytes TX and Bytes RX boxes without any browsers and external media players connected?
If not then it could be the Current Listeners and the connections in the Client Connections grid not updating for some reason.
If yes, then there is probably a browser or media player connected.

I haven't seen this problem but will keep an eye out for it.

Version 22.12

How do you know it's sending data?
1. Bytes TX increase, Bytes RX does not change
2. Networx Monitor reporting outbound data

Client Connections shows the 3 I test connected with a laptop on work wifi early this afternoon, now late night. That laptop is home and off and still shows the connection. If I stop and start it again, the test connections go away and the Networx Monitor outbound data drops off.
