- Changed the recorder from mono to stereo
- Added an Audio Control tab showing a block diagram of the audio flow with level indicators and volume controls.
- RadioReference database import conforms to the RadioReference web service version 3.1.
- Added a RadioReference database search.
- Added a direct frequency tune control to the DMA scanner types.
- Added shortcuts to the recorder Play, Stop, and Next buttons.
- Recorder shows the file playback in green.
- Added a font selection to the display options.
- Fixed a bug where the talk group logging hits was not updating properly.

Cool! Love the software by the way. Wish that it could control a BC898T. I want to get an '898T but can't live without using ProScan with it!

It's finished for the 996, 396, and the 15.
296 and the 796 will be in the next release.
330 not done yet.

Hello,
I just downloaded and installed ProScan to operate my Uniden BCT15. I have only been using it for 15 minutes and I can already make a couple of comments. "Professional" and "IMPRESSIVE".
If things continue with the way I belive they will, you should be seeing a purchase in the next day or two.

- Added - RadioReference CD Import - (RadioReference web import previously added).
- Added - BC296D / BC796D rebanding firmware support (BCD996T, BCD396T, and the BCT15 rebanding support previously added).
- Added - Hot Event enhancements such as button turns red, 12 hour timeout, send type of alert, control client turn on/off hot event, and audio alert.
- Changed - Recorder Options - stereo, mono combined channels, mono left channel, and mono right channel.
- Fixed - Intermittent hang on unload.
- Fixed - Moving mouse scroll knob in mode 1 or 2 causes a mouse click on the virtual knobs.
- Fixed - Recordings distorted if the mono check box is unchecked and client connected to server.
- Many more improvements and small bug fixes.

Sheer morbid curiousity - I wonder - would it be possible to provide 2 audio streams over one feed? One coming in over the left channel and the other over the right channel?

After I add support for the Uniden new XT scanners next month, I will be working on suggestions.
Streaming a stereo feed will utilize twice the bandwidth so I'm undecided about the stereo stream. It depends on demand too.

Do you plan to support bc246t? I know its not a recent scanner, but I've bought your software for my 996t and like it very much, so It will be great if I could use it for my bc246T

I don't think I will be doing the 246 support as the problem is the 246 is missing a key protocol command GLG so the freqs / tgid's can't be retrieved for logging purposes and the quality of ProScan will be compromised.
I just wanted to say thanks for the latest release and for adding the text tag for the Hot Event feature... 
Also, I came here to ask if it would support the 396XLT. I'm glad I don't have to buy ANOTHER piece of software.

Yes... The next release will include the 346XT out about a month and the 396XT two months.
100% of the scanners functions will be incorporated such as Control Channel Data Monitoring, Number Tags Tuning, Jump Mode Tuning, Default Band Coverage Settings, IF Exchange Settings, etc...

will this include the recording/logging of NACs? Do you think if the version for the 396XT is not ready when it first comes out there would be a way to trick the software into thinking it was maybe a 996T or 396T? I understand it might not have all the functionality of the final version with support, but I would like to try.
The development of the BCD396XT and BC346XT support is coming along very nicely and smoother then expected (knock on wood). I will need 396XT testers for a week (at the max) before the official release of ProScan 2.0.
Release date will be 3rd week of April if not sooner and will include both the BCD396XT and BC346XT.
The NAC's will be logged to the history tone column.
Email me to be included in the BCD396XT test.
