ProScan Version 1.7 Build 2 includes the RadioReference Imports feature, improved Scanner Over IP, and bug fixes.

Supported scanners are the BCD996T, BC796D, BC785D, BC780XLT, BC296D, and the BC250D.

I'm thriving to make this the best Computer Aided Scanning program and suggestions are very much appreciated.

This type of cable should work. IMO When using the mic jack the Win mixer mic level needs to be lowered to somewhere around 15%.

Hosa YMM-261 - 6" | Sweetwater.com

Ok so it looks like the end that plugs in the mic/line input on laptop is stereo and the ends are mono? I currently have a 1/8" stereo to stereo cable that goes to the mic/input and then to the record output from the 15X scanner. Now what settings do i have to make in the proscan softwware then? Thanks

Here are the settings If using two instances of ProScan or RadioFeed broadcasting in mono mode with each scanner using a separate instance. If using a mic stereo input AND one scanner tied to the left channel AND the other scanner tied to the right channel.

One instance
Input Sound Device set to the Mic Input
Left level control at 100%
Right level control at 0%

Other instance
Input Sound Device set to the Mic Input
Left level control at 0%
Right level control at 100%

Now those settings should be under the audio control tab in the proscan program? I have to change the mode in all to mono and then set the Capture on one program to LH and then the other program to RH? I think this is where i was having problems before trying to get it to work right. I just ordered that y-cable adapter that you had posted a link to, so hopefuly it will be here by the weekend. Thanks for all the help so far.

Ok i received that cable that you had posted the link for and i was able to get both radios up and recording. I think the issue before was the cable i was trying to use.

Next is how do i go about being able to remotely listen to both radios over the same laptop? I use the client software on my work computer now. Do i just change the Server Port on the second software?

Right now example my 15X is IP 192.12345 Port 5015

Can i just make my 996XT - IP 192.12345 Port 5016

There are many ways to do this. Since you indicated using the client software. I take it you are using the RSOIP feature. You are correct. Choose a different port number on each instance of ProScan running RSOIP server and use the same port numbers on each instance running the client (RSOIP Free Client software or ProScan running in RSOIP Client mode).

updated system frequencies via RR, Its logging and recording however no audio

Is that no audio out of the scanner? What type of scanner? When you say it's recording, do you hear audio in the recordings? That doesn't really sound like a ProScan problem at this point.

ProScan Version 10.5 Released

I worked all day on this so I could get it out now because I think I have something kind of exciting new that was planned for a later release but wanted it to get out now. A Scan / Search Resume function. During the DMR testing on the BCD536HP, I needed to find DMR systems so I came up with a test that when the scanner stopped on a channel, it would log the system type and digital type and then resume scanning or searching. I can scan the whole database systems located near me or search a range of frequencies with the Resume function set to Instant and leave it running overnight or a day and come back to see the most active DMR (or any types of systems) based on hits.

ProScan Version 10.5
  • Added - DMA Database - Treeview Multiselect nodes capability for Drag & Drop, Copy & Paste, Deleting multiple rows, and Updating text tags.
  • Added - History, UID, and Recording Logging - Sort columns with secondary sort based on previous column sorted.
  • Added - Show Passwords In The Clear option - Source Client, Web Server, and RSOIP. Option located in the General Options tab.
  • Added - History Logging - System Type and Digital Type columns when BCD436HP and BCD536HP scanner type selected.
  • Added - BCD436HP & BCD536HP - Direct Frequency Input, Jump, & Number Tag dialog box.
  • Added - Resume Scan / Search after predetermined amount of time.
  • Changed - DMA Database - Uploading options - Option two recommended, changed from option one previously recommended.
ProScan supports the BCT15, BCT15X, BC250D, BC296D, BR330T, BC346XT, BC346XTC, BCD325P2, BCD396T, BCD396XT, BCD436HP (without database), BCD536HP (without database), BC780XLT, BC785D, BC796D, BCD996T, BCD996XT, & BCD996P2 scanners.

Are you ever going to a database for the BCDx36HP's? {PLEASE} I have to use ARC536PRO and I don't like to use it but it is the only program that can handle DMR programing.
You have never added that to YOUR GREAT PROSCAN!!

The BCDx36HP DMR firmware is pre release you know. I would think Sentinel will be updated to handle DMR systems and released around same time the firmware is released and that would be sooner than I can do it.

I have been using your Proscan for a long time,(I think going back to V4 or 5 ) and tell everyone I know and meet (FB groups and my qrz.com page and here also) about Proscan. I rather use your program to to program my scanners then ARC or Sentinel. I run it on my BC780XLT,BCD996XT, BCD436HP and two BCD536HP's. and the X36HP is the only ones I have to use another program to make changes to. So please put it on the top of your LONG list of things to do, and i'm sure there is a lot of us user that would help and pay a reasonable fee for it, if need be.

Thanks you for your time and effort on your GREAT program.

x2 (me too) :)

Also, installed (v)10.5 and I wanted to thank you for your dedication Bob to your outstanding product. I should have bought ProScan a year or so ago when I demo'd it. I'm now seeing what all I've been missing out on that makes the scanning hobby more efficient and therefore more enjoyable. Thanks again, Bob!

Bob, here's one for the "wishlist": an option to automatically lockout a freq during scan/search after a number of seconds.

One thing I noticed and am not sure if it did this before, but while viewing the detached scanner, on a Bcd436Hp, while in Discovery mode, it lists it as quick search.

Does the scanner display show it? Can you send me a screenshot so I can see exactly the problem.
