Changed operations for site scan in ID scan hold mode
Now, when you hold on a talk group, the scanner will check all scanned sites for activity on that talk group. Previously, holding a talk group "stuck" the scanner on whatever site was being scanned at the moment the talk group was held. If you want to hold on the site, hold the site (independently of holding the channel).

Does the above apply to all system types, or specifically NXDN?

Now, you can issue MSM,600 (for example) and then spend the next 600 seconds (10 minutes) pushing programming to the scanner. When the timer expires, the scanner reboots back to serial mode.

Do you know what the max value is we can supply? If I do a copy/move of all my recordings off the scanner to my PC, it might take close to an hour. If I can issue MSM,3600 or even a bit longer than that, that would be ideal.

I just issued MSM,3700 and it did reboot to mass storage mode. However, I can't tie up the scanner for that long, right now, so don't know if it will hold in MSM that long. (I also tried 99999 and it rebooted to MSM...but I really don't have that long to wait. :) ).

Hehe, no problem. Appreciate the effort. I will be sure to report back when I try this.

Looks like the update bricked my 436.

During the update it powered off without the update successful message, even though it had fully-charged batteries. I was unable to turn it back on until I unplugged the USB cable and pulled the batteries. Now it hangs on the startup screen, and I can't turn it off with the power button--a battery pull is required.

Pull the card and put the update directly on the card. Replace the card and reboot.

Update:

I tried several known good cards, and no change. The scanner hangs on boot and requires a battery pull to power off. FML

Personally excited for the encrypted talkgroup logging in Discovery mode.

I wish the policy would change on the RR DB to allow even unknown, encrypted talkgroups to be included since this would help with discovery on even well-documented systems. I know they are on the wiki but they aren't transferred to Sentinel.

A couple of more detailed notes regarding the update:
Support NXDN Over The Air Alias
If you don't have an alpha assigned and an OTAA is received, the OTAA will be shown.

Paul is this feature limited to NXDN Trunking or should it work in conventional NXDN mode also please?

Concur - I've requested....

As I understand it, they want you to at least determine the "user group" (i.e. specific law agency, etc.) based on available metadata (talkgroup Ids, radio Ids, etc.).... so, with some effort (and the right tool), you can get some listed...

I also tried the 2-9-DEPT startup key combo, and it cleared the SD card, but still hangs on the startup screen. The only thing it accomplished was to change the startup message to the factory default message.
