There is one on Talcott already so if you are not getting it decent the new East Hartland site will likely not help.
Yes, still 853.6125

OK yes thank you for the confirmation Chris. Still no joy down here on the G5. I have all of the control channels in as conventional FM just to zero in on them with the Yagi's. Still no difference since the new site improvements. The only 2 sites I don't get (unless some band enhancement) are still the B and D.

Is there less "overlap" of TGs on CLMRN as opposed to the old system? I used to pick up Troop A here in Norwalk but not since the change. I don't think it's a reception issue as I get G clearly.
Thanks

I get Troop A once and a while on the Troop G site but someone on the system has to be affiliated with the Troop G site on the Troop A talk group for that to happen.
An Example: The DEEP Marine channel is used in all the shoreline towns from NY to RI and you can always hear them on Troops G, F & E sites but on My G5s I have each simulcast site on its own and then I mix some sites, If I'm listening to DEEP on the Troop I site I won't get the Marine talk group most of the time
Norwalk is tough, if you are up very high you can get the A system but its very weak, I got it on top of Norwalk Hospital years ago

For those of you updating your radios in The State’s CLMRN … Norwich Fire is now being simulcast on CLMRN, both City and Vol dispatch.

The Talkgroup for Norwich Dispatch is 20422 , the Talkgroup for Fire Ops is 20424.

sefrischling any idea what is going on with the Norwich channels they only seem to be active from the time of Norwich city’s morning roll call and radio check until about 12 recently? Just found it to be sort of strange, is it being patched as a trial period or test?

Have there been any updates on when Wilton may be joining the CLMRN system. I remember a few years ago they were looking at the possibility of joining CLMRN to replace their UHF system.

If I had to guess, they're only active when there's a radio affiliated to them

At this time the simulcast is not full time. It was for a few days, but now it is only when the dispatcher enables it. As such, you primarily hear it on the City radios, which are VHF, rather than the volunteers, who are on 33mhz. I have asked Norwich Chiefs about it, and there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to when the simulcast is switched on at present.

Thanks for the info, nice to hear them when we can

The radio IDs in Norwich indicate it is a console patch as there are no RIDs other than one of the PD consoles. The City FD are supposed to get mobiles and portables first, then work through the VFDs.

I caught Engine 3 testing their digital portable this morning. The console is 1049000 and the portable was 1045076. So we’re getting closer to implementation.

Tuesday 4/25/23. I see the CLMRN database has been updated to now show "dispatch1 and dispatch 2 for every troop. Any idea what the additional dispatch talkgroup is specifically used to dispatch? I did not know they were so busy that a second dispatch talk group was needed.

Radio service has been out to the Vol Cos, with installs beginning.
