I didn't say that it did. Just that the audio would hopefully be louder.

That doesn't have any impact on reception of the system though.

Even among the systems there are discrepancies. Troop L is quieter than Troop A for example.

"Clayton Northgraves reported that during the month of June CTS had approximately 9,000 hours of radio talk time system wide. Mr. Northgraves also reported that: Norwich Police is now live on the system and has added two sites. Bloomfield goes live next week and has added an additional site. The City of Stamford has begun the transition to the State Core with significant cost savings. The city of Bridgeport has signed a contract to construct additional sites and transition to the system. Valley Shore Emergency Communications console implementation is scheduled to move forward in the near future. Mr. Northgraves also reported that multiple northern Middlesex County towns are transitioning to the system. Mr. Northgraves reported that CTS has been engaged with multiple manufacturers to ensure radios work on the system, affording end users to have choices of radios, as CTS does not have a preferred radio or preferred vendor at this time. Mr. Northgraves reported that there have been 73 MOUs drafts sent out and to this date, 47 have been signed."

Yes Troop A was always louder then the others. Troop L and H are lower then the rest. I think in Phase 2 tendency for audio to be lower. But if you listen to Wethersfield which is Phase II they blast that when I have to use my Volume offset on my sds100 and 200

Bloomfield has gone live already for police, ambulance, and Fire. I still get the exact signal strength for site 028 Troop H. if theres a new site with same frequencies I cant tell. I'm only a mile from police HQ. So the jury is still out on a new site unless it has different frequencies

I have switched to Troop L Simulcast 100% of the time, I am in Avon and H is a weak weak signal, so L is full strength now, so yes I suspect some shifting things around occured... Doc, thoughts?
I am right on the other side of you in Bloomfield. Troop H,L,B are located same location. H comes in better, then l, and B a little weaker then before. I suspect L and B use directional antenna beamed towards their service areas.

Bloomfield PD has a Troop H Simulcast site operating at the PD. Drove by with no antenna and it is loud and clear. The second new Bloomfield site is currently under construction.

Those updates are from the minutes of CT State E911 commission meetings.

Yes after you said that I drove by there last week and my readings were exactly the same as site 028. So i'm confused. Signal was exactly the same 1 only live 1 mile from PD. Could they be using a different frequency? I was all over checking your findings after you told me.

The Simulcast cell is actually multiple sites using the same frequencies. Through the magic of electronics and super accurate GPS clocks, the voice is coordinated to be transmitted at each site at the same instant. So adding another site to an existing cell means installing the hardware then setting up the delay to account for the time it takes to go from the receivers to the computer via microwave or fiber and back out to the transmitters the same way. The end goal is to have every site on the cell to transmit at the exact millisecond so it is received by the subscribers, wherever in the coverage area they are, as one signal.

Yep, I'm hearing more traffic over the past week. Must be some reason.

Does this means that the HP-2 will some day work properly on CLMRN ?
Or is it a lost cause ?
