ALL JUST SO YOU KNOW HERE ARE A FEW THINGS
ON KSP ALL DISPATCH TRAFFIC HAPPENS ON B CH NOT ON THE A CH. A IS FOR BACK UP WHEN OTHER STUFF IS GOING ON
ALSO THEY STILL USE VHF PORTABLES BACK TO UHF. (uhf PORTABLE COVRAGE IS NOT ENOUGH)
THE LONG TONE YOU HEARD IS PROBLY THE CH CLEAR SIGNALING TONE KSP USES
AND AS FAR AS THE DATA BUTTONS GO IF YOU EVER JUST HERE A DISPATCHER CALL A UNIT NUMBER THEN SAY 10-4 9 (ex. 999 10-4) THAT IS BECAUSE THE UNIT JUST HIT ONE OF THE DATA BUTTONS
Sorry about the caps lol i just noticed it was on

OK. Yes I notice the change and thought that was strange. They've used the former one for decades. Unfortunately the reach of this frequency is so low, transmissions are rarely heard around my parts and KSP doesn't do much hear either.

Back to my original question. Anyone know or have any ideas of what the KSP PTT Aliases are? There are a variation of RIDs ranging from 3 digit to 777xxx, 778xxx, 900xxx, 901xxx and 902xxx.
Thanks

Similar to DMR each radio has it's own ID #. Then when it comes across dispatch the appropriate unit # shows up, ie. 902100 = Badge # 123. This way the dispatcher console can be reprogrammed remotely if a unit gets a reassigned car.

I have been told that Ksp has a new 700/800 digital system that will be started soon. Will start in western KY.

They have been talking that for years. Hear the meeting did not go well. Looks like they are trying to do what many other states have done where they half build the system and then expect local agencies to fund filling in the gaps. TN did that where THP uses all vehicular repeaters so only have good mobile coverage in many places. Heard that over 50% of your county (Calloway) was not covered well with their proposed towers. Sounds like another waste of our tax dollars. I know they need to upgrade since their repeaters are Quantars which are no longer support by the M.

KSP is currently rebuilding the core network of there radio system as well as many of the dispatch sites. Last I heard, plan was to start building out the 7/800 MHz system in the next 3-5 years.

Anything going on right now with KSP p25? I have a Whistler WS1040 and it was picking post 15 up fine and now I can’t get anything? Did they switch frequencies or am I doing something wrong?

Anyone know if post 7 is having radio issues? Been listening to them forever off of the Danville and Harrodsburg repeater and now they have been silent for at least a week. Everything else is working fine.

Is anyone having a problem hearing posts 4 and 12?
Living in Louisville I've never had any problems hearing posts 4 and 12.
I've been monitoring for over an hour with my RS Pro-100 first. Then with my 486, 586 and nothing.

I've gone 2 hours without hearing KSP Post 12. They aren't always active
