Heard Java 52, a E-3B from Tinker i believe, on 290.425 and 285.625 for about a half hour as it headed out of Steelhead.

Blue Angles traffic
I heard the Blue Angles today practicing over Battle Creek, that is when they got high enough to be picked up in the Detroit area, on 237.800 Mhz (Solo traffic) and 284.250 Mhz (The BOSS)
Reminder, the Battle Creek show is this weekend and Willow Run is next weekend.

Thanks for the Blue Angels report. I'll be at Battle Creek tomorrow. Has anybody else heard anything further from the practice tonight? At this point, I have not made that many changes to my frequency template from the 2005 and 2006 shows. It does look that Calhoun County and Battle Creek law enforcement are all on MPSCS (and encrypted) now though.

Most of the Blue Angles team went to the Tigers game yesterday, also there’s a TFR up over Willow Run for Thursday through Sunday.

A C-17 w/ a yellow tail flash (but didnt look like charleston) came cruising to RWY01 at SANG around 3:10 today.
And at around 4pm a pair of BC A-10s flew by my house towards SANG, but it now sounds like they are headed for KYIP. Active on 125.275, 139.9, and 363.2 I think they're using 'MUSTANG' callsigns

About 6:20 pm, a C-130 just flew by on approach to RWY01

There may have been other frequencies used but I got there late to avoid some of the sun and the heat; by 2:30PM they had 3 ambulances with heat related patients to escort from the flight line. Blue Angles #2 had some kind of engine starting problem but the ground crew finally got it going. The Angles put on a great show, just perfect!

Also, the Number 2 Angel seemed to have engine troubles at start-up so they switched to Number 7. I guess they didn't do a great job fixing it from yesterday.

I can't make up my mind if its worth taking the scanner this year since the TBirds or Blue Angels wont be there. Is anyone taking their scanner this year?
