Chevy Flight

I know the usual call-signs of "Demon" and "Tejas", based at Selfridge, but today I heard "Chevy flight" - 2 F-16s depart Selfridge and then return later. I have heard the "Chevy" call-sign in the past and was just wondering if this is a CAP flight.

I wonder if there could have been a CAP for a VIP visiting the disaster area in OH.

Grand Prix Flyby

Heard Demon Flight yesteday for the Grand Prix flyby, they were on 383.2000 Detroit Approach (according to my records). Sounded like a flight of two(?) Demon 11 & 12. Kept hearing them until they landed back at Selfridge.

Anyone hear the Midair Refuel exercises coupled with target practice on AR 107 on 9/10/07?

They were using TC's Milair Freq, an Air Refueling Freq. and a Huntress freq. I was having trouble making out callsigns but Darkstar came in pretty clear, and then I kept hear someone call in as (I'm guessing) "Squak 1."

Any idea who was flying the other night?

Quick question. I am adding some freqs. that are on this forum thread so as to maximize my potential for hearing milair (especially since I just bought a new antenna).

I was wondering if the milair frequencies such as 40.45 are in AM or FM mode? Also, Are frequencies for milair that are in the 139.625 AM or FM mode?

I appreciate the help!

The 138 Mhz to 144 Mhz and 148 Mhz to 149 Mhz bands are AM, except for the CAP channels which are FM. The low band 40 Mhz channels are FM, but I've never heard any traffic on them in the Detroit or Flint / Saginaw areas.

Very cool. I appreciate the answer! Have you ever heard anything on the CAP channels? Recently?

from an email I got from someone who I have been trying to get in this forum for awhile. Honestly, a big, major MIlair fellow in Saginaw county:

Absolute new frequency! 136.575
First time I've ever heard anything on here. I think it's that gov't band between comm air and the 138-144 milair. It was 2 fighters playing around for a couple of hours; "you do a wing-up right, and I'll do a wing-up left", "go into that hole"...
The reception was good, but I have a gut feeling they weren't in the Pikes. Any ideas?
