Proscan Server - Audio Issue On Client Side
Well I wanted to say first that I love this software, I think it's brilliant, and I will be purchasing it even if I can't figure out the one issue I'm having.
I've finally gone beyond listening to my BCD536HP (with WIFI dongle) over LAN with my laptop at home, and moved on to setting up a server so I can listen at work too. I have my test server running, and everything is good except for the audio on the client end (server side has great audio).
The audio on the client end is just awful, broken, distorted, and robotic. I don't think it's over-driven as far as I can tell, all levels on both ends (server and client) are ideal, just peaking in the yellow range. At first I figured it must be an internet issue with the other computers (outside of my home) that I've tried, so I accessed the server over my LAN but through the router IP (just like an outside computer would), and the issue was the same.
My connection is Cox, 5 megs up, 50 megs down. I run a Blue Iris video server through this connection and there are no issues for clients outside of the LAN streaming 1080p video with sound, so I believe my connection is more than capable, or at least it should be. In case anyone wonders, I did shut down my Blue Iris server just in case, it made no difference though. I'm sure this issue is caused by a setting somewhere, but for the life of me I just can't figure it out....at least not yet. I did a bit of thread searching but found nothing relevant to this issue, so I apologize if I am starting a new threat on an old topic.
