The find duplicate utility isn't working right. If you click "find next same item" when there are multiples of a frequency and you get to the last of the duplicates, clicking "find previous same item" won't go back to previous item--it just does nothing. You have to exit the duplicate finder and start over.

Also, forcing conventional and trunked freqs into separate categories is a PITA. I have a list of freqs found during a band search that are a mix of conventional and trunked. It would be nice to trim out everything from that list that is already known, but I can't do that because of the limitation.

It would also be useful if the duplicate finder ignored duplicates more than X number of miles apart.

What kind of scanner?

I don't know what you are referring to. What do you mean by "categories"? Is this a suggestion or a bug?

Are you asking to see and listen to your scanner outside your house what will you be using.
#1 Cellphone
#2 Laptop or other computer
Your choices will be a little different as I am running 8 copies of PROSCAN connected to 8 Scanners.
If you are using a PC/Laptop you can use the PROSCAN remote client if you are using a Cellphone the you need to run proscan at home with a copy of TEAMVIEWER and TEAMVIEWER on your cellphone which will eat into your cellphone battery and DATA PLAN.

AOR1000XLT,
In addition to buddrousa reply. Do you have ProScan installed and connected to the BCD536HP Wi-Fi? I just want to know what area to focus on.
Each tab contains a major feature. Each feature is explained in the Manual. Click the menu Support -> Manual and once the manual comes up in the pdf reader, go to the table of contents.

I don't use TeamViewer but perhaps it's used for real time audio. ProScan has a feature called Web Server. Below are two links serving virtual scanners and audio. Using Web Server without TeamViewer uses Media Players to playback the audio remotely. Disadvantage of using Media Players is the network buffer causes latency around 40 seconds.

BCD996T Online
BCD536HP Online With Remote Control - Password -> 3 This scanner may go offline intermittently as I'm using it to test various things.

Thank you for replying.
I want to hear my scanner outside the house with my iPhone and I mean my private scanner not other channels someone uploads, I know I need to use teamviewer and ProScan but how do I connect my scanner to ProScan what buttons to click how to navigate in ProScan to do it?

AOR1000XLT,
You want to use the Web Server feature.
how do I connect my scanner to ProScan.
Do you want to use the BCD536HP Wi-Fi wireless or wired Serial Port? I asked before but didn't get a reply. I would read the ProScan manual first and if you have any specific questions, I will be glad to answer.

{edit} If you haven't already, Download and install ProScan. Then just go through all the menus and options to get the feel of it.

Anyone else having audio drops with v12.1 for recording, remote over IP, and webserver? After closing the app and re-opening it works for a while. A reboot will also fix the issue but it will happen again. I backed mine back to v11.7 and issue went away. I also have issues with the web server not displaying the buttons using any browser.

No issues with the audio. No work was done in this area recently. Something could've broke but I haven't received any other audio reports. I would install ProScan in another folder or delete the ProScan.cfg file, restart ProScan, and see what happens.

For the buttons to show (Vol, Squelch, Scroll), You have to be logged in.

Ok. No problem. I don't usually have anything to complain about with ProScan. As far as the buttons, I am logged in. Both could be Windows 10 related.

Try deleting the style1.css file and refresh the browser.
It works with Win 10. Can you provide a link to the Web Server and provide a screenshot.
{edit} What's the scanner type?

I figured out my issues. Audio is Windows 10 related after the latest major update was installed. The buttons weren't showing because the windows for ProScan were minimized.

Thanks Bob

It used to work fine without dropping after a few hours. Since the latest update, it does drop out. I think it's the audio adapters I'm using and the drivers. Nothing wrong with ProScan.

In the Audio Monitor & Test tab there are all couple of options called WaveIn and nAudio. If you want to see if that will make a difference by changing from what is set now.

Trying those now. You asked before, what type of scanner...436HP, 780XLT, 396T, 396XT, 996T, 996XT.

It's like something interrupts the audio streams to ProScan and it it's stuck in a loop of about 5 seconds of audio and just keep repeating it. Recordings will vary in length due to the actual transmission lengths but the recordings will be of that audio loop.

Is it possible to copy systems from a bct15 to a bct15x in ProScan ?

Yes, Here's how:
1. Insure ProScan Scanner Type is set to BCT15X
2. Go to the menu Database -> Import -> Import DMA
3. Select the file
4. Click the check boxes to check or uncheck the system/s to be imported
5. Click the Import button
6. Close the Import dialog window

I'm at a standstill at the moment. I came in to work this morning and saw that my Proscan program was deleted from the computer. Don't know who, when or why. Anyway I downloaded the program and connected to BCD536HP and nothing. I played with com ports and speeds but to no avail. Everything worked last week.
I'm using the front port on the scanner. In Windows device manager I'm showing two ports: Com 1 (Communications) and Com 3 (USB Serial Device). Windows says that these ports are using updated drivers. Under other devices I'm showing a PCI serial port that states there are no compatible drivers for this port. Other than that I'm at a loss.

Disregard this. I'm using Sentinel at work. Working ok.
