I see now. The BCD996P2 uses the protocol in the comm. port to download and upload the systems. The SDS200 doesn't have that capability because it has a SD card so the scanner has to be in Mass Storage mode(and no comm. port involved) to read and write the favorites.
It is like plugging up a USB jump drive they do not have COMM PORTS EITHER.
Did you Download the Serial Driver for the SDS200 from Uniden? Until you do that you will not see the SDS200 in the Virtual Display.

Bob, sorry for all the confusion. Just wasn't sure thats how it worked.
Correct the BCD996P2 will show a com port, The SDS200 will not, problem solved

i guess i didnt see it bcuz the Options window opens on General, and not Startup. lmao.
