Delete system in scanner 996P2

To delete a system, click on the system node then click the Delete button in color Red or right click and choose Delete.

Choose the Upload option "Delete All Items In The Scanner That Are Not In The Database Before Uploading."

I get the delete, copy paste, part of it ,i think.
But that is to manipulate systems within the program, if I got it right.

If I choose the option to "Delete All Items In The Scanner That Are Not in the database Before Uploading"
I can't see how that will delete the system in the scanner because the system is still in the program databse but has been newly edited and modified, but the names are the same.

Am I looking at wrong . Guess I could change the name of the system in the database slightly so the one in the scanner is not the same as the one ion the database/

Did you try the option when uploaded?

It doesn't go by name but rather by system index in the scanner.

{edit} ProScan and the scanner treats it as a different system regardless of duplicate System Names because it goes by indexes.

No I have not tried that option on upload.
Ok I get system index instead of name.

I will give that a try next time I change a system and see how it goes.
Thanks for the help, appreciate it.

Encrypted TGIDs v 12.7

I have version 12.7 and it seems to be ignoring the "Don't Import Encrypted TGIDs" checkbox when I import from the RadioReference database. I have to go through and delete the encrypted channels manually. Any suggestions?

I'm looking into it. I sent an email to RR Web Service.
I'm trying to figure out how encrypted channels are marked. Is it tgMode?

The systems below show some channels Mode as DE on the RRDB page. I take it that's Digital Encrypted however tgMode returns D only and not E. I see a enc field but that returns 0 so I can't figure out how to determine encrypted channels to filter out.

Problem my side. Will have the fix in the next release. Should be ready in a week or two.

Not really. They're not grey out by any chance? Does the Green play indicator move? No - it flashed green for a sec. and that's all.

Perhaps the OS needs rebooted.
Done that several times.

I'll re-check directories, just seems weird that they are saving to the HD, yet PS will not play.

Bob, fwiwworth I fixed it, I copied all to a 2nd directory deleted the config and all is fine. No idea at all. I was setting up a 2nd session anyway for a 2nd radio.

1 suggestion - a 1 click delete history and reset counter , same for UID.

Mac Boot Camp or Parallels

I've searched around and can't seem to find the answer to this. Wondering if ProScan will work okay with the aforementioned 'Windows on a Mac' solutions (Boot Camp or Parallels). I tried VirtualBox and had some USB issues that I could not work through. I can run ProScan in the VB virtual Windows 7 virtual environment, but can't communicate with the scanner. Wondering if there's another option that will provide better results.

Something that's free would be preferred. I'm pretty sure Boot Camp will work, but that's going to be my last resort, as I don't wish to re-partition the hard drive on my MacBook, if I don't have to do so.

Thanks!

Bleah. I haven't had time to work through this yet. I've had a serial-USB adapter working OK under W7 in a Virtual Box (not sure if I've done it with W10) and in the past I've had a USB connection that's presenting as a COM port (i.e. it's all USB but it's pretending to be a serial port) working under W7 and W10 in a Vbox, but none of it's working now. ONE OF THESE DAYS I'll have the time to work it through but there is a W10 Intel machine (an actual Intel machine - a NUC) and it has no issues with anything (runs my BC780XLT through a USB-Serial and my BCD436HP via USB and my BCD996P2 (via USB) just fine.

I did play with Bootcamp when I first got my Mac and its disk partitioner is slicker than anything. If you have the room on your disk, it's easy.

Trying to use the remote scanner over IP function, as a client. I get connected, see the scanner receive, but get no audio out. All signs point to the speakers are working, and I get audio over speakers from my own scanner, PC, and radios, but nothing over the IP scanner.

I don't know what this means. Audio should be present on the RSOIP Client computer speakers.

You are just concern with the Client correct? In the Audio Control -> RSOIP. Check the playback(right side) level controls are in the middle position. Check other servers to see if you hear audio and problem is isolated to one server.

So, looking at the list of servers, I click on and start the one in Nashville, lets say. The scanner appears at the top and what its scanning. It stops on a selected TG, and I assume it's transmitting audio, but I hear nothing.

I started a server of my own in Virginia, I think it's transmitting audio. I can hear it on my end. Just can't hear another scanner on my end.
