It does not display the text that displays on the scanner.

I see what you mean now. I'll fix it before the next release.

{edit} Nothing can be done. The "Quick Key 00=ON" text does not appear in the returned data. Look at the Test & Extra tab returned data or log the scanner data to a text file. It just not there.

ProScan Suggestion , A Playback feature for scanner recorded files that could be transferred over to pc for replay and have the scanner app playback the audio and display the information as the Scanner would have. Just a thought . MATT

Negative on the request. While it may be a good ideal and part of it was on the list already Your emails is an example of how not to get it done. Manipulative, commentary, & drama.

This is the Suggestions Guideline link
https://www.proscan.org/bugs_suggestions.html

Next time, send me a simple email without the drama, and I will put it on the list.

That's a firmware bug, then.

Where are the Recording files stored? I have looked in my ProScan file folder bit I can see them.

From the Frequently Asked Questions page
Q: I can't find the config file or the logging files.
A: If ProScan is installed in the Program Files(x86) folder AND running 64 bit OS AND not running ProScan in admin mode then Windows puts all program generated files in the VirtualStore folder located at C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\ProScan

To get there quickly, go to the Test & Extra tab and click on the File Explorer button.

Possible bug:

When using the google maps and update, then select favorite and systems drop down menu, the system names have to be justified left in order for it to load correctly. Any setting other then that will load a blank map.

I'll look at that, thanks.

I saw your question to Paul about the GSI response on the other thread; I'll follow it there.

I got 0 responses to my other question re: whether it's possible to configure ProScan to record audio more or less the same way that the scanner itself does, i.e., one audio recording file per PTT. On a trunked system, currently if a conversation between RID 1 and RID 2 is recorded, even if I put the %U1 in the filename, the whole conversation gets recorded under whichever RID initiated the conversation. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Yes one file per transmission is possible. Check the checkbox "Each Transmission one Row".

On the RID or UID, It's not recommended to use with the Recording File format. Ther UID may never arrive or arrive late.

Bob, I had a laptop crash today and am reinstalling all my software. Do you still have a copy of my registration information for ProScan on file? If so I will need to reactivate it on this machine. My emails are milfordweeks@gmail.com, and milford_weeks@hotmail.com I tried to PM and do an email to you, but your not set up for those options.

Good job

Bob, just to let you know, I think ProScan is pretty awesome. I'm new to scanning this month (with the SDS100 launch).

While my scanner works fine and dandy after the initial week of programming and personal preference learning curve, compared to what my Android phone offers, the SDS100 does come across as significantly overpriced for what I think the components inside must include. And the included software and other programming software options out there I tested are all pretty mediocre and unimpressive for this day and age. Little has impressed me so far.

Then last week I discovered ProScan and it does everything I was hoping for and more, with ease. It just works and satisfies everything I wanted to do. Mostly intuitive and seems reliable so far. Now with ProScan, I can leave my scanner at home but listen and change favorite lists on my phone instantly at any time when I'm at work our out and about. If I miss anything exciting in my area, I can just check the ProScan recordings later. Awesome!

Bob, well done product. I'm no stranger to donating to developers but rarely buy one-off software.
