Can't you just go to the old laptop, run Proscan then click on TOOLS then Remove Activation ?
That will allow you to install it on the New Laptop, and activate it.

Old laptop crashed. That's the reason for the new laptop. Tried purchasing additional licenses. No go. Tried buying a new version. No go. Got busy last night was gunna try buying with different name but didn't get it done. Maybe tonight.... Love ProScan. Wouldn't use anything else. Will get this done yet....

Key / License issues handled via email. No need to purchase another license if using on two computers.

Verizon Jetpack and Proscan as a server

I have my 536 connected to the jetpack which is feeding a laptop with proscan and it's working fine. I can control and hear the audio via the wifi connection.

However, I can not seem to get the sever to work. Nothing can connect to it out via the internet. I have tried port forwarding port 5000 pointed to the internal IP of 192.168.1.7 which is what it indicates the laptop is using.

I used IPchicken and verified the public IP is correct when I used it in my internet connected proscan client.

Anyone have any tips setting one of these hotspots up?

Custom ports are not allowed on the VZW 4G LTE network. Even though port forwarding is offered on the VZW devices all custom ports are blocked by the VZW NAT firewall (another hurdle you would have to solve when hosting a game). If you want to host a game server that requires custom ports then you need to configure a VPN or host the game on a dedicated game server on a different network.

Select Radio by ID?

I'm don't use ProScan much, but I do like what it does.

I saw a question about a bug in the SDS100 Protocol doc about empty ID and got me to thinking about if one has a 536 and 436 radio could the program startup select the correct scanner to display?

It always starts with the last selected one and I have to select the other type manually when I change radios.

I went thru the manual and didn't see anything obvious about auto select other than connecting to a remote scanner over IP server.

Anything for automatic local selection I'm missing or is this a wish list item?

ProScan and SDS-100

When holding on a talkgroup with the SDS-100 connected to ProScan, after a moment the talkgroup hold gets changed to another talkgroup. Most of the time it is the next talkgroup programed in the radio. Checked the settings in ProScan but can't seem to find what is doing this..

Is the Resume Scan/Search function set to a value other then Off?

I'm still a noob, but I think I experienced the same problem last week and solved by turning off Priority ID scanning.

Is the SDS100 in Serial Port mode?

{edit} Also check the USB cable connected to the scanner and the driver is installed.

I have great news. Was able to install the old hard drive in another computer and managed to get the software to boot up and deactivated the license on that drive and then activated the new installation on the new computer. Good deal

Hello;

I am not sure if this is a SDS100 bug or Proscan bug
but with Conventional P25 frequencies, ProScan
History Logging does not log the Radio UID or Talkgroup.
The SDS100 displays both UID and TG on the screen.
I am running the latest Beta Firmware in the SDS100.

Thank you

This is more of a scanner issue. The scanner doesn't display UID's and TGID's on conventional systems. You need to make a P25 One Freq. system to display and log the UID's and TGID's.

The SDS100 now does display the UID and TG without having to program the
frequency as a P25 One Frequency System like previous Unidens.

Thank you
