I think a "Up button" & "Down button" would help on the virtual control area on the software.
It could fit in the upper or lower corner area next to "Scan/Search" & "Hold/Resume" area.
Using the 'Round knob" doesn't work well for me. Trying to scroll to a freq quickly.
Like how FreeScan has it on their screen layout.

What does everyone think about it ?

Mouse click the knob to gain focus and use the up and down arrow to move the knob or page up and page down to move the knob 10 times faster.

P25 Control Channel Data

I downloaded ProScan Version 4.4.1. I'm finding it difficult to find exact capabilities of this software. One thing I'm very interested in is the control channel decode capabilites. However, I'm having some difficulties with "CC Data" on a P25 standard trunk system. When I scan only that system and click the CC Data tab and press start, ProScan displays no response. Yes, I have checked the C-CH output settings in my BCD396XT. I know everything is working because I can decode the same system with Pro96Com.

I'm also having the types of issues with some mot type II p25 that I can decode with Trunk88.

I guess my main questions are, is Proscan supposed to be able to decode control channel info from these types of systems? If so, why isn't it working?

Are you asking about the features in ProScan or something else. Be more specific.

Setting the C-CH output settings in the scanner is the same as clicking the start button in ProScan. Do you see data in the grid? I'm not sure why this is. In the test tab, do you see any data returned from the scanner? As you know, the CC data starts with MOT.

What baud rate are you using? 115.2 KB/S is the best.

I'm parked on the control channel. Nothing on the grid, nothing in test, ProScan's monitor says "NO RESPONSE." I am using 115.2KB/s via a keyspan USB Serial Adapter (model USA-19HS). If I click out of CC Data, ProScan monitor starts following traffic again. Out of five of my trunked systems, proscan only provides cc info on one of them. All of them provide cc info on either Pro96com or trunk88 depending on the type. That is why I asked the earlier question. Is ProScan supposed to be able to decode cc info for all systems that Pro96com and Trunk88 can, all in one application? That would be wonderful and worth $50 bucks:)

Thanks for the help on the other question the other day.

Another question.

I notice the 396XT on the ProScan It displays the NAC & UID doing the single-frequency P25 trunks(conventional) scanning.
But in the logging screen. It doesn't log the NAC in the 'Tone' Column. Just the UID only.
The 'Tone' column is left blank on every row.

If it's not setup for it. Maybe it can be added in a updated version :D

I see the problem. I have to make a modification for P25 systems. The next release this Wednesday will have it working.

I'll take a look at this. It won't make it in the release this Wednesday.

Just to give you some info on what is working and what's not:
Imperial County, California (CA) Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference San Diego RCS 800 MHz splinter CC DATA WORKS!!!

Western Arizona Regional Interoperability Communications System, (WARICS) Trunking System, Yuma, Arizona - Scanner Frequencies CC DATA isn't working.

Marine Corps Air Station - Yuma - P25 Trunking System, Yuma, Arizona - Scanner Frequencies CC DATA isn't working
Marine Corps Air Station Yuma Trunking System, Yuma, Arizona - Scanner Frequencies CC DATA isn't working
Unid Federal - BC10 - Poss Yuma Proving Grounds Trunking System, , Arizona - Scanner Frequencies CC DATA isn't working

Thanks for the effort. If you can make ProScan do everything that Freescan, Pro96com, and Trunk88 do and add those to its already existing feature set there wouldn't be anything like it on the planet. Again thanks for looking into this.

Email me and I can send you the latest file with the fix. C-Ch data is now displayed for the P25 systems.

Can you think of any reason why 4.41 would suddenly not work with Fstream?
Action scanner and the web still work, but Fstream just sits at "buffering"
4.3.0 was fine.

Thanks,

Steve

Same issue here too. I think its related to the amount data in the stream and the default setting changed in the latest version.

I as of yet I haven't found a good audio setting that worked like before.

I need a few testers running Web Server or ScanCast using a 64 bit OS

I'm having a heck of a time on the MP3 parameters. I'm starting to suspect it's the lame dll I'm using. Some people are reporting a buffering problem and I can fix it by turing the MP3 resampling on but then it breaks for other users at the same sample rate and mp3 bit rate

I want to send the testers the original .dll to see if it will work on 64 bit OS's.plus I added a MP3 option "Resample"

Email me if interested in testing.

I have to get this out Wednesday as I will be on a eight day cruise starting Friday.

whoohoo another release of the greatest scanner program available! thanks Bob, the way u listen to us users is great, much better than the other junk programs!

I use proscan for both programming and streaming, also use it for recording! Nice work.

Feel free to check out my stream, it is not on 24/7 but it ison most of he time, it is called *SYDNEY AUSTRALIA SCAN*

The only thing id love to see back in proscan is the old logging window, I liked how u can split the trunking from conventional windows, having them all in the same window is confusing...

Can you get some realistic/DTS scanner compatibility?? I also run a Pro96 and would love proscan for that! But works great on my UBCD 396T and 996T.

thanks again mate, keep up the good work!
