Great release. Thanks Bob...
I've been using Proscan with my BCT15 for a while now, and it's been great.
2 things that I'll call "annoyances" rather than bugs.
When using Proscan on my notebook to remote control My desktop that's connected to the 15,
1) The Jump feature doesn't do anything. Tune works, but jump just ignores me.
2) When clicking and holding the volume or squelch to adjust them, after a few seconds it acts like I've double clicked, and activates state, or mute. It seems like this is a little better with 4.4.3 but still happens.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Steve
id love to see an admin log on feature, so I could control my scanner remotely....regular users connect but no control, admin connects and has full control! Perfect for when im remotely listening and it gets stuck on a trunking control channel etc...I can hit l/o remotely and continue listening!
ICP963 said:That is how ProScan works. You set up your control/admin password and from a remore location you connect with another copy of ProScan and use the password and it gives you full control of the scanner. You can even upload and download to the scanner as if you were on the host computer.
Is the issue #2 intermittent or always with the same conditions. Remote or local mode?
Thanks.
Both local and remote, and it's quite consistant.
Does it happen after you single click with the mouse? Do the knobs turn darker in color momentary indicating a knob press?
How long has this been doing this?
.
It happens on a click and hold, i.e. I left-click the squelch, and keep it clicked to adjust the level, after about 2 seconds the knob turns darker, and the state selection comes up. As far as I can remember it's always done this.
I just discovered that a single click and release followed by using up/down arrows on the keyboard will work, so it's not a problem if I adjust that way.
OK I see now. Click and hold. I'm not sure of the thought process during the design stage but it will be changed so holding the mouse button will have no effect.
Another way to rotate the knobs is with the mouse wheel.
BTW the jump in client mode works now and the number tag (XT series) didn't work either.
I'll have to decide if I should make it so the mouse(ball) can move the knob without holding down the button but then I may get complaints that the volume changes by itself.• Press briefly to enable Alert Mute temporarily. Press briefly again to turn it off.
• Press and hold to enable Alert Mode continuously. Press briefly again to turn it off.
looks good! I see your still using the horrible new logging window!
Like many have said, please bring back the old logging window where you could seperate the trunking/TGID channels to the conventional channels...much easier to read!
other than that look good.
Bob,
Thanks for another great upgrade!
The database printout is a big improvement, and , as usual , the upgrade was quick, clean
and painless.
Thanks.
