Custom band plans available for custom searches?

Hello, I have been using another program for a while now and one thing I have found lacking is the ability to select a custom band plan for custom searches. I find it tiresome to have to set up the band plan I want every time I do an upload from the program files to the scanner, and was wondering if Proscan has the ability to do this? Thanks in advance, TT.

Yes. In the Custom Searches under the Database tab, you will find a button for each of the ten custom searches labeled "Band Plan". Once the button is clicked then select "Custom" and enter the lower freq., spacing, offset, and upper freq.(or let ProScan calculate the upper freq.)

I use proscan for both programming and streaming, also use it for recording! Nice work.

The only thing id love to see back in proscan is the old logging window, I liked how u can split the trunking from conventional windows, having them all in the same window is confusing...

I thought the old logging grids could be confusing so I changed it to just one grid. Also more grids and data can create performance issues.
Possibly an option to just show conventional or trunking or both or I can make conventional channels one color and trunking another color.

Can you get some realistic/DTS scanner compatibility?? I also run a Pro96 and would love proscan for that! But works great on my UBCD 396T and 996T.

Clue me in on what "realistic/DTS scanner compatibility" is?

Import files from Freescan?

Thank you for the quick reply. This next question may be a outrageous pipe dream, but could I import my files over from say, Freescan? I have let my premium membership to RR lapse and would like to be able to just move what I've got over with little hassle.

You can download the systems from your scanner to ProScan. So if you have them in Freescan, you upload all of the systems to the scanner from Freescan and then download them from the scanner to ProScan.

that would be awesome, selectable logging be it conv or trunking...NICE WORK BOB, another reason why proscan is the best there is!

The realistic/DTS Pro96 scanner is one i have here, id love to be able to program it using proscan...and so would alot of other people, the realistic scanners are popular but there is no good software to program them, id love to see proscan do it!

I have a few years of work to do on ProScan and I'm sure by then that Uniden will have new products out which will add to the work load so I don't think I will do it plus that's an old scanner and not cost effective for me to do.

k no prob, i am pretty sure all realistics are the same proto..

( hey let me know Bob if u need any proto testing, my scanner almost runs 24/7 on proscan both my 996 and 396)

The statement that there's no good software to program the realistic (here, it's RS) scanners is simply untrue - see this link...

hmmm ARC96 is junk...very old skool and I dont like it and Win96 doesnt work on the DTS version of the pro96..so yeah back to the drawing board

Do you have a XT series scanner? This option is not needed on the XT scanners as they use only "Control Channel Only".

Pro Scan Client

I have dropped back to Client 4.0 - I noticed on several computers that run Win 7 - there is some type of audio driver problem with mu;ltiple instances of Client running ......I believe the latest version was 4.2 ....

When running 2 or more clients - you cannot listen to recorded audio ...and then when you close you get an audio error message,. I do not get this since I switched back to Client 4.0 .....

I have no problems on my Vista Maching running 5 clients at once ....

Have you seen any Win 7 computers without this problem?
Are the Win 7 computers with this problem 64 bit?

What is the error message?

ok working fine..thanks Bob, Id still love to see the old logging window back, or have a tick box to show trunked TG or conv, i liked the old way where there was 2 windows for logging, one for TG and one for Conv
