ProScan Version 1.7 Build 2 includes the RadioReference Imports feature, improved Scanner Over IP, and bug fixes.

Supported scanners are the BCD996T, BC796D, BC785D, BC780XLT, BC296D, and the BC250D.

I'm thriving to make this the best Computer Aided Scanning program and suggestions are very much appreciated.

New to the Scanning hobby. Just got my Uniden Bearcat BCT15X with ProScan v4.4.7 up and running. Using ProScan’s RadioReference web import feature I was easily able to program my BCT15X.

Question: For the Uniden Bearcat BCT15X scanner in ProScan v4.4.7 how do you set the I-Call Flag for EDACS and Motorola Talk Group IDs ?

I’m running a BC780xlt feed with MetaData Custom %L1.

My question is, can you set up the feed so when the metadata is transmitted the “Stream Name” is dropped? That way the end user will see the alpha tag only with the audio and then back to scanning with the “Stream Name”.

I don't believe it's possible as that function is handled by the Icecast protocol. Below the "Metadata Source" button shows the info sent out. I don't have control over the Icecast stuff.

MARCS and other RR digital systems

When I import Ohio MARCS or Wright Patterson from RR to a 396XT, it loads but does not receive anything.
It shows system type as APCO 25 standard.
The preloaded MARCS that came with the radio works OK.
If I load Wright Patt using Freescan it works and shows the system type as "MOT"

Is there a problem with Proscan loading digital systems?

Cant seem to get the bank record to work. Under the bank section there is a box for recording a specific channel. Using a 785d. Thanks

Why does Pro Scan wipe out Bank Tags? I'm using a BC780xlt and have to enter Bank Tags manually. If I update with ProScan it wipes out the Bank Tags.

No problem with line 1 Alpha tags, I'm talking L2 Bank Alpha Tags, note too I'm not talking trunk banks either. You can program L2 as a Bank tag for regular analog scanning.

I keep getting these errors while broadcasting. It reconnects automatically. But I am curious to whats causing this. I notice a lot of "Client off-line abnormal" also. Thanks a lot!

Is that on AUDIO Server 3????

My FEED on Audio Server 3 does that while the one on Audio Server 6 is fine...

The TCP/IP connection from the source client side (ProScan ScanCast) to the Icecast server (RadioReference) got interrupted and disconnected. You indicated that the Remote Scanner Over IP client was showing "Client off-line abnormal" messages so that narrows down the problem to your side.

Many things can cause this such as other software interrupting the TCP/IP stream, cables, NIC cards, router ports, etc.

I would use trial and error to narrow it down. Swap out cables, use a different router port, Try another NIC card, etc.

As eaf1956 asked, is the ScanCast streaming to RadioReference Audio Server 3?
What anti virus and internet security programs you are using?

Not yet. No time this month with taxes and a two week vacation. Then in April I will be doing some R&D for a potential addition to RadioFeed. Then all the improvements done to RadioFeed will be put in ProScan.

Just not enough time.

Close Call Bands

I was experimenting with Proscan and I noticed that whenever I uploaded to my 396XT, that band #5 was disabled in Close Call.

I discovered that on the Proscan "Close Call Settings" tab, that only six bands appear for selection rather than the seven which are available in the scanner. It seems that VHF High2 is missing.

As a result of the missing tick box, VHF High2 is disabled in the scanner after each upload.

I just downloaded the program, so I assume it is the latest version. It is version 4.47.

I'm using the latest version and the audio coming from the client on the remote scanner over ip isn't very clear compared to my RR.com feed. This is on the LAN in my house is there anyway to clean up the audio?
