I'm noticing the program crashes when I try and play a recording. When I reopen the program the recordings are gone. I navigate to the Recordings file in the software folder and the recordings are there! Yet the software is not displaying them.

This is the same thing you posted in #6500 and I replied in #6501

Bug Reporting
If you discover a bug, sent an email to support@proscan.org . The advantage of email is so I can ask questions and send you production quality files with additional testing to help fix the bug. The person reporting the bug will get the fix sooner then waiting for the next release.

Having issues purchasing a copy from the webpage. Any help with this? Paypal button wont work.

It works. Can you try it again.
{edit} Is that the PayPal button on the ProScan Web page? If so, are you seeing a message box?

entered quantity of 1, entered name, entered my email and clicked the buy now, nothing.
disabled my adblocker, and tried on my phone >.>
I see the purchase. Did you get the receipt emailed to you. Asking because the email address entered starts with 'paypal'.
Also, I got another email on this very same issue an hour ago. Perhaps a PayPal glitch.

got my email yes, just managed to do it on my laptop since my phone or desktop wouldn't load the paypal page. wierd
better now tho

ProScan Version 17.7 Just Released!
  • Added - Sort the grid columns in the Database and Favorites Editor by right clicking the column headers.
  • Added - Locations in the Database and Favorites Editor now shows both the DEG (Decimal Degrees) and DMS (Degrees Minutes Seconds) text boxes and automatically converts DEG from/to DMS.
  • Added - When using the Alert Colors for the display background, now can set the shades of Alert Colors.
  • Fixed - Locations circle and rectangles data was disappearing in the Favorites Editor if switching from/to rectangles & circles.
  • Fixed - Changing the Alert Color based on Service Type in the Find & Replace dialog wasn't working.
  • Fixed - Recorder - 'Lookup Record Flag From Database' wasn't working with UIDs.
  • Fixed - Number Tag Tune wasn't working correctly.
ProScan is the most powerful and feature rich scanner software in the world !!!

Fixed - Changing the Alert Color based on Service Type in the Find & Replace dialog wasn't working.
This is a feature I was really hoping for! I don’t know any other software that does it and doing it manually takes hours. Much appreciated. I will upload the newest version this weekend.

Unless I did something incorrectly, the “Find and Replace Service Type with Alert Colors” seems to work on conventional channels now but not on trunk channels.

Following my routine install of the latest version 17.7 this evening, I noticed that my PC continues to provide scanner audio from my BCD536HP, however Proscan displays the error "Unable to Connect to UDP Port 192.168.88.112:50536". The Comm Port tab's routines successfully find my scanner, however it seems that the scanner's information is not saved properly to the application. I continue to hear scanner audio through my PC, but the application's scanner display is blank. I restarted both the application and the scanner. This did not fix the issue. As prompted by the Comm Port routine, I disabled the the scanner's WiFi via a menu option. I then re-enabled WiFi. The scanner successfully logged in to my WiFi, and I can still hear the scanner's audio from ProScan after I did this. But the scanner display in Proscan is still blank.

Most interestingly, when I uninstall V17.7.0 and roll back to V17.6.3, the scanner display in Proscan works normally again. Installing 17.7 again reverts the behavior where the error appears again, and I don't see scanner activity in the Proscan display. I do hear scanner audio, however.

Since rolling back to V17.6.3 fixes the problem, and upgrading to 17.7.0 returns the problem, it seems there is something about the latest version with my installation setup that is causing the issue. Any suggestions? Thank you.

I'll take a look at this before the next release.

The scanner display is blank but is detected in the Comm Port auto detect.

I had the same issue after the install of the latest version 17.7

I had this also. Temp fix is open Comm port, change to "None", hit SET, change back to URL, hit SET.
