I recommend not installing in the \Program Files or \Program Files (x86) folders for 2 reasons:
1. ProScan will put all program generated files such as the config & log files in the VirtualStore folder if not elevated to Admin mode.
2. Using the Recorder, the recordings folder & file names may exceed the 260 characters windows limitation.

I think it's best to use folders like this C:\proscan 1, C:\proscan 2, C:\proscan 3 or C:\proscan sds200, C:\proscan bcd996p2, C:\proscan bct15xt

Well, that was just an example location. I don't have mine there so I shouldn't have suggested but wanted to have a level to go up to vs just C:\. Many programs default to Program Files so that's what I chose.

Example: Here's how it could/should look (depending on how many instances you want). Note the 'breadcrumb' showing where we are on the drive [ C:\Scanner\ ]

Within C:\Scanner there are three folders in which ProScan has been installed via the program installer you downloaded from the website. Slow down and follow the steps and it will work.

Im trying to make folder s and I dont know where they should go on the computer Im really having a hard time with this, I"M SORRY

We've outlined that above. Mostly it's wherever you want (generally speaking) but not in the Program Files folder as Bob said.

When you say it isn't working (no go), what do you mean? What isn't working? Where is the 'hang up' in the process? That will help us give better guidance.
Making the file and and where to do it! That’s my issue all I see is my desktop and icons on my screen! I’m a wiz with everything else and programming but not this at all.

Are you familiar with the Windows File Explorer? Perhaps search online for --> windows file explorer create new folder

It has been detailed in a couple of posts already. I'm not sure where you're having the issue. Making folders is simple and was described previously.

Sorry, I go to Documents!

OK so you should have an icon on your taskbar that looks similar to this on Windows 11. Click the circled icon (wherever it is on your taskbar) and you'll be in Windows Explorer. Then follow the steps we laid out previously to create the folders to then install ProScan in to.

I dont get it. I dont see anywhere how to create a folder on my bottom task bar, Im Sorry!

This was explained in at least two posts that you've read (and responded to) already.

Right click your mouse > new folder

You DO NOT do this on the taskbar. We never said you do. You do this in Windows Explorer (the file management in Windows).
