I want to thank Paul from Facebook for taking the time to use and program called “AnyDesk” to access my computer Remotely and set it all up for me!

Sorry I pissed a lot of people off today and I mean that!

Thanks

Create a new folder on your computer and be sure it is named something different than where ProScan was installed the first time.... name it something like "proscan 2" . Then run the ProScan installer again and tell it to install in the new folder.
A little off topic, but:

After I have the two folders set up, how can I change at least one of the icons that show in the W10 Taskbar, so that I can pin both to the
Taskbar, and select either or both to run their respective applications?

I have navigated from the main screen's Options tab to the General tab, and see an entry for Program Icon. I also see to the right, Select Program Icon.

I downloaded an image of the scanner, in a .wepb format, 672w by 488h pixels, changed the file extension to .ico, then went to Select Program Icon and chose that. Did not work.

Any suggestions?

The .wepb format, 672w by 488h pixels is too large for a icon file and you cant just rename the file extension to ico.
Use a online converter such as https://cloudconvert.com/

We powered it on and off three times and recycled it, and it did not do it. It’s a sds200.
Did you installed the driver? Here's the link containing the driver link.

See the Windows Serial Drivers section. If you're having difficulty with that then perhaps contact Paul on Facebook.

Also the scanner needs to be in the normal operation mode which is the same as Serial Port mode and not Mass Storage mode.

It’s not the driver because I’m locked in on program mode right now! If inuse Uniden software or butler it works no problems

The Uniden software is called Sentinel. It doesn't use the serial Port therefore it doesn't use the serial port driver.
Are you trying to get ProScan virtual display showing like the scanner? If so then it could be the scanner is in Mass Storage mode or the driver is not installed.
