Need some help getting my proscan up and running. Back on 3/19 I tried to update. Notice popped up saying it was blocked by Norton. It never had been previously. Double check and it was in the Norton allowed list. Could not get it to work. So I uninstalled it and had to burn my second license to reinstall. Was working fine on wit’s the older version that I had. Now when I try and open it I get a white screen asking me how I want to open this file. Any ideas
Can you download and install ver 22.12? If Norton blocks it, I would double and triple check the Norton allowed list. As far as activations/licensing, I'm really good at that but when communicating via email.

Also anytime a virus, make note of the virus name, Norton product, Windows version, definition date, so I can report it.

Thanks for the reply. I did install version 22.12. Norton did block it again. But this time I checked a box that said download anyway. I never had any problems before. I did check my Norton settings. I have it set to allow. All is good it’s working now. Thanks for this great program.

If you don't mind, can you advise on the virus name, Norton product, Windows version, definition date, so I can report the false positive.

A dedicated search function would be nice. Something that would send a list to wordpad, which is on all win pc's. I tried the way you said to do when I asked awhile back but think a dedicated search feature would be nice to have. Just a thought.
I need more info.
What do you want to search for?
Searching the database/favorites editor or something else?
What kind of output? I know a text file but what should it contain?

A link would be nice so I can refresh my memory

Scroll down and you will see your post telling me what to do. The find and replace rows will go to a what I put in the search. One at a time. Say I want to look for a specific talk group. The search function I want will go through my recorded list, then print the row to wordpad, all of them. So If I have 50, the search will print all 50 rows. This way, I can see time and date when that specific talk group was recorded. Also, make the search available to select on the top row, talk group, freq, ect, for my search.

Unfortunately I did not take a screenshot of the warning yesterday. This morning when I scan the ProScan file Norton 360 shows no threats found.

I wonder why on one of the servers listed on BOB's web server page it gives a warning..

Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead

Most of the links work but some do NOT.
